195 <br /> <br />In Re Nap for <br />City <br /> <br />In Rs Sidewalks on <br />Orchard street <br /> <br />In Re Sub-division <br />Palmer Tract <br /> <br />In Re Paving West <br /> <br />St. Baker to Artemis <br /> <br />In Ra Paving West Fifth <br /> <br />St. Artesia St. to 0ity <br /> <br />Limits. <br /> <br /> After the examination of the foregoing bids for all of said Bonds <br /> <br /> the Board passed the following Resolution by the following vote <br /> <br /> to-wit: <br /> <br /> Resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha reject <br /> all bide except the Farmers & Merchants Nat'l. Bank of Santa Aha <br /> <br /> it being the highest and best bid according to their bid for the <br /> $63.000 Water Works bonds of par and accrued interest and the $12,000 <br /> Firs Department bonds of par and accrued interest together with the <br /> <br /> premium thereover of $360.00, and does hereby award &ll of said bonds <br /> to the said Farmers &Merchanta National Bank of Santa Ana, at their <br /> <br /> bid. The foregoing Resolution was on motion of Grubb,seconded by <br /> <br /> Alderman, passed and adopted by the following vote to-wit: <br /> Ayes, Trustees McPhee Greenleaf, Grubb and <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> tn motion of Alderman, dul7 seconded and carried, the 0it7 <br /> is instructed to prepare an abstract of the bond proceedings to <br /> submit to the attorneys of the successful bidders of the Water Works <br /> bonds and Fire Department bonds. <br /> <br /> On motion of McPhee, duly seconded and carried, the 0ity Clerk <br /> instructed to purchase a map for the 0it¥ Assessor's office and the <br /> City Engineer's office at a coat of $6.00~/~. <br /> <br /> Ed Waite appeared before the Board and asked that sidewalks be <br /> laid on both sides of Orchard Street between Patton Street and <br /> Van Ness. <br /> <br /> On motion of Grubb, duly seconded and carried, the request is <br /> granted. <br /> <br /> A.J. Viael appearSd before the Board in reference to a proposed <br /> sub-d~mision of the Palmer Tract and asked that a co~nittee be <br /> appointed to investigate and assist the managers of the sub-divi- <br /> sion regardin~ proposed alleys and streets. Trustees Grubb and <br /> Alderman were named a committee. <br /> <br />Fifth On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the City Engi- <br /> neer is directed to prepare plans and specifications and the City <br /> Attorney to prepare a Resolution of intention of paving West Fifth <br /> St. from Baker St. to Artesia St. with a 4 inch concrete baas and <br /> a 1~ inch wearinE surface <br /> <br /> On motion off AldermAn, duly seconded and carried, the 0ity gngineer <br /> is directed to prepare plans and specifications and the City Attorney <br /> ia directed to prepare a Resolution of Intention of paving West <br /> <br /> Fifth St.,from A~tesia St. to the Oit7 Limits with a 4 inch comrete <br /> base and 1~ inch wearing surface. <br /> <br /> <br />
