199 City Eall, ~anta Ann, March 14, 1914. The Boaxd met in regular session. Present, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Board called to order by President Frank # In Re Insurance City Hall In Re Special Police J.M. On motion of Alderman, seconded and carried, the ident of the Boaxd is named a committee to investigate and report on the ins%zance on the City ~all. An application from J.M.Russell asking to be appointed a Special Police at Olume'e Theater, and to serve wi~ out pay, was on motion of Alderman, seconded by McPhee, and carried, referred to the Police Committee ~ith power to act. The petition of Geo. S.Smith, et al, asking that ~reno~ Street between Fifth Street and Washington Avenue be resurfaced was on motion of Grubb,seconded by Mclrnee, and carried, ordered referred to the Street Committee, the City ~nginee~ and the Street Superintendent A communicatio~ from W.F.Lutz & CO., calling the Board's attention to the deplorable condition of Spurgeon Street between ~rd St., and §th St., occasioned by the tearing of the street by the telephone Company was on motion of Grubb, seconded by McPhee, ordered referred to the Str~ Committee, the City ~ngineer and the Street Superintendent with the recommendation that this Comittee investigate all streets repaired by public utilities, corporations and that said corporatione be instructed to put in certa~ repair wore on enid streets ac as to place them in as good condition as they were before they were torn u~. ~A coomunicaticn received complaining against sanitary con- ditione at certain residences on Pazton ~treet was on motion referred to the Health Officer for investigation. A petition signed by property owners on South Main Street between Bishop St., and South City Limits , asking that said street be paved was on motion referred back to t¥ owners for more signatures. On motion of MoFaee, duly seconded and carried, it is ordere~ that Garneey Street be graded from Hickey Street to Orchard and that the property owners will furnish the gravel and -oil for the same.
