May 18, 1914, at 7:~0 p.m. Orubb, {~, and the Clerk. T~e petition of Geo. Baldereton, et al, for the paving of Pine Street between the last line of Main St., and the West line of Hickory St.,in the City of Santa Aha with a 4 inch concrete base and a la inch asphaltic con- crete wearing surface was on motion of Or~bb, seconded by Greenloaf granted, and the 0ity 01erk was directed to notify the Utility Company. 0~ motion d~17 seconded and carried, the 0ity officials are directed to withhold further action on the paving of ~ast Washington Ave., under the Vrooman Act until it is a~oertained whether or not the work will be completed under private contract. On motion dul7 seconded and carried, the City Clerk is directed to notify the 8.P. l~y. O0. to remove the switch block now imbedded in the sidewalk on ~-st 2nd St., on the 8curb side of the track to the ~orth side of the track. On motion duly seconded and carried, the Orandall Paving Co., is granted an extension of time pf ~0 days for the paving of East Fourth Street from the last xtil of the Santa Fe Railway track to the Mast City limits. # On motion of Greenleaf, duly seconded and carried, it is ordered that street lights on Broadway between 4th St. and Highland St., be center suspended ~-td that one light be installed between 0smile Street' and 0hestnut on Broadway and one at the intersection of Highland and Broadway and that stree~ lights be installed on South Main Street from the present most southerly light at a distance of about every 400 feet apart to the 8outherly 0ity limits. On motion of Grubh, duly seconded and carried, it i~ ordered that the re2uest for street lights on Lincoln St.,between 17th and Mast Santa 01ax~ and for one light on ~orth 8yoemore near Tenth St.. be referred to the Light Oom~.ittee. On motion of Orubb, duly seeondedb~ Oreenleafand carried, it is ordered that the resignation of S.H. Fimle7 a~ Building Inspector be accepted.
