Ocr. to 5th & Bush <br /> <br />Xn Re 69 Franchise Tax <br />Edison Company <br /> <br />In Re Oiling and Graveling <br />Mc01ay St. <br /> <br />In Re Bids Fire A~para~us <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb, duly seconded and carried, it is <br />ordered that $§00.00 be appropriated from the Band <br />l~And for Band Ooncerte and that a comittee o~neisting <br />of Trustees Alderman, MoPhee and Grubb be appointed to <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Mr. Bax~ial appeared before the Board and asked per- <br />mission to move a sheet iron building to the corner <br />of §th & Bush. On motion duly seconded and carried, <br />the matter was referred to Trustees Greenleaf and <br />McPhee and Fire Chief Young with power to act. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Mr. Deimling appeared before the Board and presented · <br />voucher for $4556. ~2 to cover 6% franchise tax from the <br />Edison Company. The Clerk ie directed to deposit the <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />O.F. Cross appeared ~efore the Board and asked that the <br />Street Commitee investigate conditions on McClay St., <br />with the view of oiling Ed graveling the same,the matter <br />was on motion referred to the street Committee w~th power <br />to act. <br /> <br />The President of the Board having announced this the <br />time for opening bids for fire apparatus for the Fire <br />Department, the City Clerk was on motion of Alderman, <br />seconded by Greenleaf, ordered to proceed to open the <br />bids. <br /> <br />~n' motion of Aldex~an, aeoonded by Greenleaf and carried, <br />it ~$ ordered that any irregularities appearing in any <br />bid~ will not be held am e~rora sufficient to throw out <br />bide. <br /> <br />~ne following ~ids were opened and publicly declared: <br /> <br /> Pioneer C~mmercial Co., Los Angeles G&I$ Joh~ J.~gan, <br />Los Amgeles,Oal; M~reland Motor Tx'~ck Go. ,Los Angeles,Gal. <br />The Seagrave Motor Driven Apparatua,Col~bus Ohio, Ameri- <br />Can La ~rance Fire ~ngine Co., San ~ancisco.
