Representativee from the Southern Count ice Gas Co.,appeared before the Board and asked that they be allowed to a fine against delinquent ueere of gas of ten per cent or a minimum of 25 cts. for each coneumer if the gas bille not promptly paid of each and every month, and that a final notice be mailed each delinquent consumer by the 20th of month, and if the bill is not paid by noon of the 2Snd of each month the gas Company has the right to cut off the gas supply and be allowed the privilege of charging $1.00 to each consist for turning the gas back cna. The Oity Attorney held that if this privilege were granted the Gas Oompany by the Board it would be illegal in so much as it would increase the gas rate aa provided for in the Ordinance. No action taken. H.D. Oonnell appeared before the Board in behalf of the Santa Aha Auto Club and asked that a traffic Ordinance be adopted. The matter was referred to Trustees McPhee and ~reenleaf and the City Attorney. M.g. Jackson appeared before the ~oard and asked permission to open a skating rink at the Corner of end and ~ush ets., on motion duly seconded and carried, the matter was referr~ to Trustees ~reenleaf and MoFnee for investigation and rep= t. # A proposed Ordinance for widening High Villa Tract was read and was eidewalke in the Po17 on motion referred to Trustees Alderman end Grubb for investigation and reDort. Mr. O.F. Bennett appeared before the Board and asked that the Board take action with the view of ordering the pavin~ of East First St., from the Santa Fe Railroad to the g·et City Limits m~der the provisions of · petition presented to the Board about Jul7 lst.191~. The matter was referred back for · new petition. Specification Nc.SS · proposed specification for street paving in the Cit7 of Santa Ana, was read and ordered referred to the Cit7 Attorney. · ~rotest against the paving of ~ast ~hestnut Ave. presented and ordered referred back to the signers.
