Shannon <br /> for the appointment of inspector for the paving <br /> on East Chestnut was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, <br /> duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, ordered <br /> received and placed on file. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> A communication from the State Compensation Insur- <br /> ance in reference to insuring city employees with <br /> a report from President Visel showing the cost of <br /> insurance, was read, and upon motion of Trustee <br /> McPhee, duly seconded, the President of the Board <br /> was instructed to complete the insurance without <br /> including the sewer clause. Upon a vote being <br /> taken the following was recorded: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, Visel, McPhee, Greenleaf and <br /> <br /> Maryatt, <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> The application of ~.g. Stricker for an auto for <br /> hire l~cense, accompanied with a bond of $10,000, <br /> with the Pacific Coast Casualty Go., as sureties, <br /> was on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded <br /> by Tubbs and carried, referred to the President of <br /> the Board for approval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, d~ly seconded by <br />Maryatt and carried, permission is granted to the <br />Pacific Tel. & Tel.Co., to excavate in the followin <br />places and in the manner according to blue print on <br />file in the 0ity Clerk's office~ 4th & Flower, 5th <br />and Van Ness, 6th and Broadway. <br /> <br />Thomas Walmsley was before the Board and asked per- <br />mission to move his clock sign from the North side <br />of ?ifth St., to a new location across the street, <br />was granted upon motion of Trustee McPhee, duly <br />seconded and carried. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Upon the petition of W.J.0rawford for sidewalk on <br /> <br />Poinsettia St.,the following committee was appointed <br /> <br /> <br />
