Herold for a permit to install a <br />gasoline ~,w,p on the South side of 8th, Just East of <br />Main, was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by <br />Maryatt, that the petition be referred to a committee, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, Greenleaf,Maryatt,and Visel. <br />Noes, Truste~ McPhee. <br /> <br />The President appointed Trustees Tubbs and Maryatt as <br />such committee. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt <br />that the proposition of the lighting committee be accept- <br />ed, allowing $500.0~ a~icnal to the Southern Cal. <br />Edison Co.., for lighting the ornamental street lights <br />from Ross to Mortimer on 4th and Second to Sixth on Main <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees McPhee, Maryatt,&nd Visel. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustee~ Greenleaf. <br /> <br />No: voting, Trustee Tubbs. <br /> <br />Upon the motion of ~us~ee RcPhee, duly seconded.by <br />Maryatt and carried, S.S.Finley is given permission to <br />use the City roller at $10.00 per day. <br /> <br />Upon a motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by <br />McPhee and carried, the following Trustees McPhee and <br />Tubbs, were appointed a committee to investigate the <br />needs of a new license Ordinance, whereby no business <br />escapes paying a Oity license. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br /> <br />and carried, the operator's license ~f John Sladk ia <br />cf <br />cancelled as a Jitney driver on the grounds ~ bring- <br /> <br />ing drunks into the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded by McPhee <br />and carried, the Supt. of Streets is given the permiss- <br />ion to trim trees on traffic corners above the $ ft. <br />limit, when so needed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded and carried, <br />the City Attorney is instructed to start Vrooman Act <br />proceedings in order to force the laying of 1~5 ft. of <br />cement curbing at the Northeast corner of 6th & ~ush. <br /> <br /> <br />
