The petition of A.F. Herold for a permit to install a gasoline ~,w,p on the South side of 8th, Just East of Main, was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Maryatt, that the petition be referred to a committee, the following vote was recorded: Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, Greenleaf,Maryatt,and Visel. Noes, Truste~ McPhee. The President appointed Trustees Tubbs and Maryatt as such committee. Upon motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt that the proposition of the lighting committee be accept- ed, allowing $500.0~ a~icnal to the Southern Cal. Edison Co.., for lighting the ornamental street lights from Ross to Mortimer on 4th and Second to Sixth on Main the following vote was recorded: Ayes, Trustees McPhee, Maryatt,&nd Visel. Noes, Trustee~ Greenleaf. No: voting, Trustee Tubbs. Upon the motion of ~us~ee RcPhee, duly seconded.by Maryatt and carried, S.S.Finley is given permission to use the City roller at $10.00 per day. Upon a motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by McPhee and carried, the following Trustees McPhee and Tubbs, were appointed a committee to investigate the needs of a new license Ordinance, whereby no business escapes paying a Oity license. Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the operator's license ~f John Sladk ia cf cancelled as a Jitney driver on the grounds ~ bring- ing drunks into the City. On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded by McPhee and carried, the Supt. of Streets is given the permiss- ion to trim trees on traffic corners above the $ ft. limit, when so needed. On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded and carried, the City Attorney is instructed to start Vrooman Act proceedings in order to force the laying of 1~5 ft. of cement curbing at the Northeast corner of 6th & ~ush.
