L. Figmeroa for a license to conduct <br /> a lunch wagon on a lot back of the Oalifornia ~ational Bank <br /> building was on motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by <br /> Marryatt and carried, same was granted. <br /> <br /> A request to construct a temporary wooden frame building with <br /> sheathing and tar paper roof, size 90 X 125 ft. on Bush between <br /> ~rd and End 8ts., to be used ~r public religiou~ service for <br /> a period not over 60 days, was on motion of Trustee Maryatt, <br /> duly seconded by McPhee and carried, granted. <br /> <br /> On behalf of the committee to conduct the advertising for the <br /> Price & Guice union gospel meetings to be held for one month <br /> beginning Nov. ~lst, permission to tack up about 500 small <br /> triangular cards 10 X 14 inches on trees and poles in various <br /> parts of the 0ity and to string 4 banners over the four princi- <br /> pal streets, was on motion duly seconded and carried, granted. <br /> <br /> The applications of Geo. Louoha and Sarah E.Fike for refunds on <br /> their Uity taxes under the ~oldiers' ~xemption clause was on <br /> motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded and carried, referred <br /> to the 0ity Attorney for an opinion. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and <br /> carried, the application of ~rank Vegely for a refund of $6.26 <br /> on his auto for hire license, issued to him July ~6th,191§, <br /> to Jan. lst,1916, sams is granted. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> In the matter of the application of the Pac. Tel.& Tel. <br /> <br /> for permission to excavate in Broadway ~outh of End and in <br /> alley running West from Broadway South of ~nd it was found that <br /> the work had already been done, then on motion of Trustee McPhee <br /> duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the 0ity 01erk was instruct- <br /> ed to notify all public utility companies not to excavate in <br /> the streets without first getting a permit from the Board. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Trustee Tubba, duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />F.M.Dean was appointed a police officer to succeeed R.g.
