Board met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the President. Present, Tubbs, MoPhee, Maryatt, Vieel and the Clerk. Absent, Trustee Greenleaf. City Hall, Santa Aha, Cal. Oct.16,1916,?;30 p.m. In Re Minutes In Re Protest Garfield St,paving In Re North Main St. Bridge In Re 8ignsfor North Main St.brldge In Re Action to Rescind permit gravel Pine ~ Chestnut to In Re ~pecifications to improve West Chestnut & Pine Sts, Minutes of Oct, 2nd read and amended. A protest from property owners on Garfield St., between Brown and Wellington, protesting against a~ paving of street,was read and on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by McPhee and carried by the following vote, Ayes, Trustee Tubbs, MoPhee, Maryatt and Vlsel, Noes, Trustees None. Absent Trustee Green- leaf, Garfield St., was ordered paved from Fruit to Vance under Specifications On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, the following report from S.H.Finley on condition of the North Main St. bridge was ordered spread on the minutes: "In response to you: request for an opinion me to the capacity of the North Main St. bridge I have made an investi- gation of its condition and believe it to be capable of safely carrying a live load of twelve (12) Tons,provided vehicles loaded to that amount travel at a reasonable speed and have wheels of sufficient width that not more than ?00 lbs. will bea~ on each one inch in width of tire. The above capacity applies whether the load is on one or more vehicles." (Signed) S.H. Finley, Engineer. On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried %signS~to be placed on each end of the bridge on North Main St stating that the capacity of the bridge to be 12 Tons. A motion by McPhee that the action granting property owners on Chestnut and Pine Sts.,from Flower to Baker permission to gravel said Streets be rescinded, was duly seconded by Ttbbs and passed by the following vote, Ayes. Trustees Tubbs, McPhee Maryatt'and Visel, Noes, Trustees None, Absent, Trustee Green- leaf~ On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded and carried, City Engineer Bonebrake, wit~ the assistance of the City Attorney were instructed to prepare specifications for crushed ~A~ for improving Chestnut and Pine Sts., from Flower to Baker.
