Board met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President. <br /> <br />Present, Tubbs, MoPhee, Maryatt, Vieel and the Clerk. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustee Greenleaf. <br /> <br />City Hall, Santa Aha, Cal. <br />Oct.16,1916,?;30 p.m. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Protest Garfield St,paving <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />North Main St. Bridge <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />8ignsfor North Main St.brldge <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Action to Rescind permit <br /> <br />gravel Pine ~ Chestnut <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />~pecifications to improve <br /> <br />West Chestnut & Pine Sts, <br /> <br />Minutes of Oct, 2nd read and amended. <br /> <br /> A protest from property owners on Garfield St., between Brown <br /> and Wellington, protesting against a~ paving of street,was <br /> read and on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by McPhee <br /> and carried by the following vote, Ayes, Trustee Tubbs, MoPhee, <br /> Maryatt and Vlsel, Noes, Trustees None. Absent Trustee Green- <br /> leaf, Garfield St., was ordered paved from Fruit to Vance under <br /> Specifications <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, the <br /> following report from S.H.Finley on condition of the North <br /> Main St. bridge was ordered spread on the minutes: <br /> <br /> "In response to you: request for an opinion me to the <br /> capacity of the North Main St. bridge I have made an investi- <br /> gation of its condition and believe it to be capable of safely <br /> carrying a live load of twelve (12) Tons,provided vehicles <br /> loaded to that amount travel at a reasonable speed and have <br /> wheels of sufficient width that not more than ?00 lbs. will <br /> bea~ on each one inch in width of tire. The above capacity <br /> applies whether the load is on one or more vehicles." <br /> <br /> (Signed) S.H. Finley, Engineer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried <br />%signS~to be placed on each end of the bridge on North Main St <br />stating that the capacity of the bridge to be 12 Tons. <br /> <br />A motion by McPhee that the action granting property owners <br /> <br />on Chestnut and Pine Sts.,from Flower to Baker permission to <br />gravel said Streets be rescinded, was duly seconded by Ttbbs <br />and passed by the following vote, Ayes. Trustees Tubbs, McPhee <br />Maryatt'and Visel, Noes, Trustees None, Absent, Trustee Green- <br />leaf~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded and carried, City <br />Engineer Bonebrake, wit~ the assistance of the City Attorney <br />were instructed to prepare specifications for crushed <br /> <br />~A~ for improving Chestnut and Pine Sts., from Flower to Baker. <br /> <br /> <br />
