Leave of Absence, Permit to close In Re Granting permission In Re Instructions to Street In Re P.E. surplus rook & oil Water Supt. Garfield St. to out streets Supt. 4th St. Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by MoPhee and carried, Ransom Reid, Water Supt. was granted permission to leave the State for 30 days. On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded and carried, the Orange County Engineering & Construction Co. are grant ed permission to close Garfield St., between Fruit and Van, for paving said portion of street under Spec~fications No. 82. Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried, Street Supt. OBrien, is authorized to grant permission to the Southern Counties Gas Co.,for cutting into street when necessary to do so by said Company. On motion of Trustee Tuhbs, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, the Street Supt. is instructed to take up the condition of gas pipe on 4th St.,with the Southern Countie Gas Co. in reference to making neeeded red,irs on same at the time the Pacific Electric Ry. repairs its trackm. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried, Street Supt. OBrien is authorized to make arrangements with the Pacific Electric Rwy.Co. in reference to removing the surplus rock and oil on 4th St., to loc~tions on different streets that are in need o~airs. In Re On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded b7 Tubbs and Profiles & Cross-sections E.6th St. carried, the plans, profiles and cross-sections prepared In Re Resolution to pmve E.6th In Re Bread Ordinance by City Engineer Bonebrake for the paving of E.6th St. were s~lopted. # A Resolution of Intention of the Board declaring its inten tion to pave that portion of E.6th St.,lying between & line drawn at right angles to East 6th to a point where the North line of East 6th intersects Garfield St., on the West and a line drawn at right angles to East 6th from a point on East 6th where the North line of East 6th St., ~tersects Poinsettia St. on the West, also providing for the construction of cement curbing on each side of that portion of aforesaid Street sought to be improved, exclud- ing therefrom any of the aforesaid improvement ~here the same has been constructed according to the official grade, was given first reading, and on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by MoPhee and carried, referred back to the City Attorney.
