A petition signed by 14 property owners on Highland Street between Flower and Shelton askin~ that side- walk and curb be ordered in on said portion cf stree was on motion ~ Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded by Nc~h~e and carried, referred to the committee appoin ted tc investigate the protest on macadamizing a portion cf said street. A petition signed by gO per cent of the frontage on Orange Ave., from the Souih line of Chestnut to the South line of ~lshop ~t., asking that Wells & Bres~- ler be granted permission to close said portion of Orange Ave., in order to pave same under ~pecifica- tions Nc.gS, was granted on motion of Trustee Tubbe and by thc fol~owinA vote to-wit:- Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, ~cPhee,~aryatt and Vise]. '~oes, Trustees None. Absent,Trustee Greenleaf. On motion ofTrustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried City Attorney Scott, was instructed to prepare the necessary Resol,~tion under the 1~11 Act in order to pay= Orange Ave., from the South line cf Chestnut to the South line of Bishop under Specifications No.gS. On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly ~econded by Tubbs and carried, Wells & Bressler ~ere granted permiceio tc olose ~est 10th St, from Ross to Van Ness Ave. in order to prepare sai~ portion of Street for pav- ing under Specifications No.g2 by laying cement curb gutters, etc., and to enter into an agreement with t the City not to put down any pavement until ordered by the Board. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded ~nd carrie Cit~ Attorney Scott was instructed to prepare the necessary Resolution to pave West 10th St., from Ross to Van Ness under Specifications No.$2. Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried, a petition from property owners on H~les- worth Street from the West line of Broadway to the East line of Ross St., to have said portion of street paved under Specifications Nc.g2, was referr- ed back to petitioners for more signatures, and ~e presented at next meeting.
