To al/ow contractor <br />to prepare streets for paving by putting street to grade, <br />layin~ of~ water, sewer and gas connections, cement curb and <br />gutters and within 30 days from said improvements, contractor <br />to come before the Board and get permission to close any such <br />street for the paving of same. This report was on motion duly <br />seconded and car£ied, adopted. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, <br />City Engineer Bonebrake is instructed to furnish the City <br />Attorney with the proper data for water ways on streets to be <br />improved with pavement. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee McPhee, Chairman of the Committee <br /> to need of a sewer on South Flower St., below <br /> same be denied, was duly seconded and carried. <br /> <br />in reference <br />Walnut, that <br /> <br />On motion of <br /> <br /> Trustee McPhee, thmt a committee be appointed <br />with power ~o act in reference tc trmding the two old Fords <br />used bythe Water Dept., for new ones was duly seconded by <br />Maryatt and carried, President Visel appointed Tcusteee <br />and MoPhee as such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee <br />carried, the action <br /> <br />Tubbs <br /> <br />MoPhee duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />taken Dec.4th instructing Water Supt.Reid <br />to install a Fire hydrant at Pacific Ave., and Hickey St., <br />is hereby rescinded. <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee McPhee that the City use North side of <br />Bishop St., from Maple t~ Main as a Water Way, was duly <br />seconded and csmried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />carried, Wells & Bressler were granted permission to experi- <br />ment with a thin coat of oil and coarse sand in pavement <br />put in u.uder Specifications No.82 without cost to property <br /> <br />owners for one Block. <br /> <br />With Trustee Tubbs in the Chair, <br /> <br />President Visel made the <br /> <br />following motion, that the Chamber of Commerce and E.A M. <br />ASsociation be asked to co-cp~rate with the Board in starting <br />a movement for the appointment cf m Southern California~and <br />particularly a Santa Aha man ~s one of the six men to be ~ppoi~ <br />ted by President Wilson on the T~lff Commission. <br /> <br />This motion was duly seconded by Trustee Maryatt and carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
