154 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Oil $ Gravel w.6th ~?t. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Remonstrance Cvrress ~,avlng <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />;,utc for Hire Refund <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Walnut ~t. ?~vin? <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Street equipment <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Crushed Rock <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Test Fifth Ft. <br /> <br />Paving Ponds <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Cu¥ wires <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Greenleaf and <br />carried, the petition of a majority of the property owners on <br />East 6th for oil and gravel from Hortimer to Lacy Sts. be <br />filed, pending oil and gravel specifications. <br /> <br />A remonetr~ce signed hy property owners on Cypress Ave. <br />representing ?00 ft. between let and ~lne Sts. petitioning <br />the Board to rescind the action of Feb. 14th, 1916, in <br />reference to paving said street with a four inch concrete <br />base and 1~ inch asphaltic concrete wearing surface, was on <br />motion of Tubbe, duly seconded and carried, action deferred, <br />and City Engineer instructed to check up the frontage signed <br />for and against said paving and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />carried, in the future that if 60% of the term of license <br />had been used no portion to be refunded. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, <br />Superintendent of Streets is <br /> <br />duly seconded and carried, the <br />lnstructedi$o interview H.O. <br /> <br /> Kellogg and have property owners sign an agreement to pay for <br /> labor and material used in paving Walnut Street between Orange <br /> and Cypress Aves., City to pay for cost of Pasadena inspector <br /> if paving is done according to Pasadena specifications. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs that the President appoint a <br /> committee to inveetigate~he cost of securing a street sweeper <br /> roller, trucks, oil plant and pit, and if reasonable to call <br /> a bond election in order to secure the necessary equipmentwas <br /> duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried. The President appoint. <br /> ed Trustees MoPhee and Tubbs as such committee. <br /> <br /> Upon motion duly seconded and carried, the President appointed <br /> Trustees MoPhee and Greenleaf a committee to confer with the <br /> County Supervisors in reference to the cost of crushed rock. <br /> <br /> Upon motion and by the following vote; Ayes, Trustees McPhee, <br /> Tubbs, Greenleaf, Maryatt and Visel. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None, a warrant was ordered drawn on the City <br />Treasurer in favor of Geo.M.Kryhl of $~4.29 princlpal,interet <br />and penalty for paving bonds sold against the West 5th St. <br />school property. <br /> <br />A motion by Trustee Tubbe that a committee be appointed to <br />interview the So. Cal. Edison Co., Pac. Tel. &Tel. Co. and <br /> <br />Home Tel. Co., in reference to guy wires being boxed, the <br />President appointed Trustees Tubbe and Maxyatt am such committe <br /> <br /> <br />
