McDonald, Sec'y. of the Joint <br />Pole Committee in reference to the removal of poles lnterfer- <br /> <br />lng with the ornamental lights, <br />Tubbs and cmrrled. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly seconded and carried, <br /> <br />was duly seconded by Trustee <br /> <br />the President appointed <br /> <br />Trustees Tubbs and MoPhee a committee to interview the postal <br />authorities in reference to the removal of a mail box located <br />on the proposed site of an ornamental light post. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried, the <br />City Clerk is instructed to notify all public utilities that <br />H.E.Smlth, et al, had been g~anted permission to close Second <br />St., from Main to Birch, and Cypress from First to Chestnut <br />for street paving. ~aid public utilities to lay all necess- <br />ary mains and connections before said paving is started. <br /> <br />A petition signed by residents in the vicinity of Spurgeon St. <br />between 3rd and Rnd, asking the Board to abate the nuisance <br />consisting of shouting and hollering at unusual hours of the <br />night at a place of worship on said Spurgeon St., was on <br />motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carrie <br />referred to the City Attorney and Trustee Maryatt with power <br /> <br />to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, <br /> <br />duly seconded by McPhee and <br /> <br />carried, the application of Horace B. Cook for the position <br />of motorcycle police was ordered filed. <br /> <br />The report of the City Engineer of the estimated cost for a <br />concrete bridge 140 ft. long across Santiago Creek mt Hannah <br />St.,was $10,500, engineer and inspection $1000, total cost <br />$11,500,was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by <br />McPhee and carried, ordered accepted and placed on file. <br /> <br />The application of A.C. Tie~e for a permit to ciculate a <br />petition for oil and gravel on Washington Ave., from Ross to <br /> <br /> Flower was on motion of T~ustee Tubbe, duly seconded by <br />MoPhee and carried, ordered filed. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded by Tubbs and <br />carried, the application of L.B.Smiley and Fred Keller accom- <br />panied by bonds of $10,000 each for auto for hire license was <br />granted and bonds referred to the President for approval. <br /> <br /> <br />
