Upon motion of <br /> Trustee Greenleaf and the following vote: Ayes Trustees Tubbs <br /> McPhee, Greenleaf, ~&aryatt and Visel. Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> A petition signed by some of the abutting property owners <br /> to re-surface the pavement on Fifth Street from Bush to <br /> Broadway with asphaltum, was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, <br /> duly seconded by McPhee and carried, referred back to the <br /> petitioners. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Mary~z~ <br /> and carried, Fire Chief Sackson was authorized to purchase <br /> 200 ft. of hose for the chemical apparatus on the fire trucks <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried, <br /> the City Marshal was instructed to have the pop corn stand <br /> on Bush Street beside the Cherry Blossom moved away. <br /> <br /> The committ~e appointed in reference to conditi6n of sidewalk <br /> on East Sixth between Lacy and Garfield reported, and on <br /> motion of Trustee Mazyatt, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried <br /> ordered cement sidewalks in on both sides of Sixth St., betwe <br /> Lacy and Garfield, and Street Supt. instructed to put in two <br /> gravel cross-walks. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />carried, the City of Seal Beach is granted permission to use <br />Birch Park for a concert advertising the opening of the seasor. <br />for said City. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by MoPhee and <br />carried, an arrangement between the City and Hon. J.C.Burks <br />manager of the Santa Aha Elks Band, whereby said band is to <br />give 14 concerts during the summer, 13 to be paid concerts <br />with one free, at $60.00 per concert, payable monthly. <br /> <br /> A committee consisting of L.L.Shaw, Harvey Gardner <br />Dr. Flood were before the Board in reference to the <br />light oeleOration <br /> <br /> and <br /> <br /> ornamental <br />asking for a subscription of $100.00 for <br /> <br /> <br />
