Falker for auto f~r hire <br />license, &ocompsmied by $10,000 bonds each, with the Casualty Co. <br />of America, as sureties, were on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly <br />seconded by McPhee and carried, license granted and bonds referred <br />to the President for approval. <br /> <br />The request of O.V.Dart for information in reference to what <br />portion of the cost the Home Tel. Co., and So. Cai.Edison Co., should <br />stand in raising wires to permit the removal of buildings, was on <br />motion cf Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded and carried, referred to th~ <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br />motion o2 paving E. 6th St., with crushed rook and oil from the <br />East line of Mortimer to the West line of GarfiSld, was laid over <br /> <br />one week. <br /> <br />The offer of the Pacific Tel. & Tel..Co. <br />poles on Ross St., at $2.50 each and 4, <br /> <br />to sell the City ?, 30 ft. <br />40 ft. poles on Parton St. <br /> <br /> at $5.00 each, poles that carry wiree belonging to the fire alarm <br /> system. The offer was accepted on motion of Trustee MoPhee that <br /> the City purchase am many of the poles that are absolutely necessary <br /> at above prices, was duly seconded and carried. <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded and carried, the City <br /> Attorney is instructed to start Vrooman proceedings in order to <br /> pave Orange Ave. from Chestnut to Bishop with crushed rock and oil <br /> macadam, as granted by the Board on May 22nd, 1916. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee Greenleaf that the protest of some of the <br />stand Syca~.ore ?t.property owners in referenoe to pop corn and peanut venders standing <br /> <br /> on Spurgeon St., between 3rd and 4th Sts., that same be denied <br /> <br />resulted ~n the following vote: <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees McPhee and Visel. <br /> <br />Volunteer Firemen s~ary <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrmrt for Edin~er ?t. <br /> <br />Ayes,Trustees Greenleaf and Maryatt, <br />Not voting, Trustee Tubbs. <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, <br />the Volunteer Firemen are to be allowed $2.00 per month for attendi~ <br /> <br />drills, $2.00 emoh for either fires or alarms. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee MoPhee, dulysmoonded and carried, <br />is instructed to draw a warrant in favor of Jasper Leek <br />balance due from City for improving Edinger St. <br /> <br /> of Trustee McPhee, <br />Upon mottonAdUly seconded by Tubbs and carried, $400 18 <br /> <br />the City Clef <br />for $100.00 <br /> <br />In Re allowed the <br />C.of C. demand Chamber of Commerce out of the Advertising Fund for ~dvertising. <br /> <br />~n Re On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, <br /> <br />Assessment iist.?oinsetta St. the City Engineer is instructed to prepare an assessment distrio~ <br /> <br /> <br />
