Cactus Juice Compound, was on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly ,eoonde~ by Maryatt and carried, referred to City Attorney with power to act. Upon morion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded and carried, the protest on p&ving Orange Ave. under Specifications was referred to & committee to check over eign&turee and see that protestants who signed same axe property owners. The Chair appointed Trustees Tubbe and McPhee as such committee. A communication from the Arborioulture Association accepting the invitation to hold their next convention in this City Nov. let and 2nd,1916, provided a hall shall be secured 500 or more was oD motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded A statement from the Pac. Tel. & Tel.Co., with a voucher for $1064.OO amount due the City on franohiee t~x for year ending Aug. 19th, 1916, was on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Oreenleaf, &nd carried, accepted. The COmmittee consisting of Trustee Tuhbe amd MoPhee in reference to investigating the statement of 8o.Cal.Edison Co. reported that the amount of $17]}.65 was the correct amount due from said Compau~ for frauohiee ta~ for the past year, and on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by McPhee and carried, report of finanoi&l st&tement and voucher for was accepted. A notice from the League of California Municipalities et&ting that the 19th annual meeting of the League to be held Cot.lOth to 15th, 1916,&t Viealim inviting all City officiale, elective and appointive, to &trend, was on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by McPhee and oaxried, ordered placed on file fo: future reference.
