Specificetlons 82 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />T~lnut ~nd Maple Paving <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />depth of sewer connections <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br />and carried, thatlthe request that sidewalk and curb <br /> <br />be Ordered in on Olive St. <br />was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, <br />Paul Griffin, was <br /> <br />"hot dogs' on any <br /> <br />between First and 4th Sts. <br /> <br /> duly seconded and carried, <br />granted a free license to peddle <br />of the streets,excepting 4th St. <br /> <br />to install <br />149 lights <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />carried, the Southern California Edison Co. was granted <br /> <br />permission under the supervision of the City Electrician <br /> an ornamental electric sign 4~ X ~ ft. with <br /> on each side in front of their place of business <br /> <br />A communication from the Associated Charities asking the <br />City to co-operate with them in a plan for the cultiva- <br />tion of vacant lots by dependent families during the coming <br /> <br /> season under the following plan:let. The Ass~ciated Chari <br />ties will furnish the necessary seed and will also furnish <br />a manager or superintendent to oversee planting, watering <br />and keeping the curb and parking of the lots free from~eede <br />2nd. the City to furnish free water for growing of the crop <br />on lots and to also assume the expense of the first plowin <br />and harrowing necessary to get the ground ready for culti- <br />vation,not more than 15 lots to be cultivated during this <br />year. This pla~ was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly <br />seconded by Maryatt ~ carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Green-leaf <br />and carried, City Engineer Bonebrake was instructed to <br />amend Specifications ~ for providing a sealing coat on <br />streets paved under the above Specifications. <br /> <br />On motion duly seconded and carried,President Visel <br />appointed Trustees Tubbs and McPhee & committee in refer- <br />ence to a petition in regards to paving Maple from First <br />to Chestnut and Walnut from Orange to Oak and report at <br />next meeting. <br /> <br /> The motion of Trustee Tubbe that the President appoint a <br /> committee to act with the Sewer Supt. in reference to <br /> regulating the depth of sewer connections,was duly seoond~ <br /> by Maryatt and carried. Trustees Maryatt and Greenleaf <br /> were appointed as such committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
