Right of way in said City in reference to granting <br />the P.E. officials permission to construct a like pavement <br />on their riEht of way from Ross to Artesia, was duly second- <br />ed by McPhee and ca, tied. <br /> <br />A communication from the Cope Electric Co.,in reference to <br />recommending that the Electric Inspection department be <br />declared vacant and a committee be appointed to investigate <br />the matter of electrical inspection, was on motion of <br />Trustee McPhee that the City Electrician's opinion be <br />sustained, was duly seconded by Maryatt and carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by ~aryatt and <br /> <br />carried, the matter of P.E. Ry. charging extra fares inside <br /> City Limits on tickets to Los Angeles was <br /> the Chamber of Commerce and ~.& M. Association. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Naryatt and <br />carried, the resignation of Theo. Lacy Sr., as Pound Master <br />was accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and <br />carried, J.A. Benjamin was appointed Pound Master to <br />succeed Theo.Lacy, Sr. resigned. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee that a committee be appointed <br />in reference to purchasing the necessary signs needed fo:' <br />pcsting the speed regulation in passing schools was duly <br />seconded by Tubbs and carried, Trustees Maryatt~ and Green- <br />leaf were appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee that a committee be appointea <br />in reference to the development of more water for the Water <br /> <br />Department, was duly secgnded by Tubbs <br />Oreenlesf, Tubbs, and MoPhee and Water <br />appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />and carried, Trustees <br />Supt. Reid were <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee MoPhee that a committee be appointed <br />in reference to granting the Post Office department per- <br />mission to place a "No Parking" sign on North side of 3rd <br />St. at Post Office Bldg., was duly seconded and carried. <br />~rustees Tubbs, and ~aryatt being appointed as such commit~ <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee Tubbe that a committee be appointed <br />in reference to determining the amount of feet of fire hose <br />needed for the Fire Dept., was duly seccnded by Earyatt and <br />carried.
