On motion of Trustee Tubbs, and carried, the Clerk was duly seconded by Or~enle~£ instructed to draw a warr~ut for $249.~~ for the second installment of ~eunty taxes. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, and carried, City Attorney duly seconded by Oreenleaf Scott was instructed to notify the P.E. Railroad officials to have their track on Maple Ave. moved to the center of street, from Flre~ to Chestnut. On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise fo~ bids of 500 feet of fire hose according to specificat- ions on file in Clerk's office. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to notify the Santa Fe and S.P. railroad agts., in reference to repair- ing their crossings on East let St. On motion of Trustee Maryatt, duly seconded and carried, the post office department was granted permission to have placed a "No parking" sign near the entrance on 3rd St. side of building. On motion of Trustee Tubbs that a resolution be prepared granting public speaking to the Salvation Army on the East side of Sycamore South of 4th instead of West side of street, was duly seconded by Maryatt and carried. On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for sinking a 12 inch well for the Water Dept. bids to be opened at first meeting in May. A:. motion of Trustee Me~$att that the resignation of J.^. Benjamin as Pound Master be accepted and the appoint ment of Frank Adams to fill the vacancy, was duly seconde~ by Creenleaf and c~rried.
