In Re <br /> <br />Petition to pave Halesworth <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />EmTloying E.L.Mayberry,rescinded <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Recommendations Engineer, <br /> <br />E.L. ~{ayberry <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bridge Ccm.nittee continued <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Orange Ave. pavin~ <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ford machines, <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Orange Ave. side'-elk <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Permlt Nox-all ~£~.Co. <br /> <br />165 ' <br /> <br />The petition from property owners on Haleeworth St., from the <br />West line of Broadway, to the East line of Rosa St., to have <br />said portion of Street paved with concrete base and asphaltic <br />wearing surface under Specifications No.80, was on motion of <br />Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubba and carried, referre <br />to a committee to check frontage aigmed, President Vlael <br />appointing Trustee Maryatt and Oity Engineer Bonebrake as such <br />committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded and carried, the <br />action taken Jan. 2nd, 1917, in reference to employing Engi- <br />neer E.L.Mayberry in supervising the construction of North <br />Main and North Flower St. bridges ia hereby rescinded. <br /> <br />The recommendations for Engineer E.L. Mayberry received by <br />President Visel from H.C. Phillips, Chief Engineer A.T.& S.F. <br />Rye, C. R. Olbreg, Supt. Irrigation U.S. Indian Service, <br />and Mulford & Dryer, Attys. of Los Angeles, all highly re- <br />commending Engineer Mayberry, were on motion of Trustee Tubbs, <br />duly seconded and carried ordered placed on file. <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee MoPhee that the Bridge Committee be <br />continued and that said committee he instructed to secure the <br />services of & local Engineer to work in conjunction qith the <br />City Engineer to prepare penciled sketches and get approxim&~s <br />estimate of the cost of bridges proposed for spanning the <br />Santiago Creek on North Main and North Flower ets., such pencil <br />sketches and estimate to be submitted to the Board for its <br />approval, this motion was duly seconded and carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded and carried, Wells & <br />Bresslar, contractors, improving Orange Ave., under Specifi- <br />cations No.~ are requested to cease work on same until given <br />permission to--the work. <br /> <br />The committee composed of Trustees Tubbs and McPhee with power <br />to act in reference to securing two new Ford machines for the <br />Water Dept., reported that two new machines had been secured <br />for $550.00, and the old machines in present uae to be turned <br />in, on motion duly seconded and carried the a~tion of the com- <br />mittee was adopted. <br /> <br />On motion duly seconded and carried, the committee ~ppointe~ <br />in reference to investigating the needs of a eidewalk'on <br />Orange Ave., below Bishop St. is continued. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly' seconded by MoBhee and <br />carried, the request of Earl Evans,representing the Nox-all <br /> <br /> <br />
