Present, Trustees Tubbs, McPhee, Maryatt, Greenleaf, Minutes of Dec. ]rd 1917, read and approved. In Re Resignation of Jack Munson In Re Appointment F.B.Elllott In Re Tournament of Roses On motion of Trustee Tubbe, that the regular order of rules be iuepended and that the Clerk proceed to open bide received for furnishing the Fire Dept. with 500 ft. of fire hose, was duly seconded by Maryatt and carried. The following five bide received, were opened: Republic Rubber Co. ~00 fa.of Tower home O$1 per ft. American Rubber Mf. Co.~O0 ft.2~' double Jacket 'Crackerjack' ~ $1.10 per ft. C.C.C. Fire Hoes Co. 500 fa.of 2~' lockstitch double-Jacket O$1.00 per ft. Bowers Rubber Works "Victor specie/' 2~'0 95 Cts. per ft. Boston Woven ~oee & Rubber Co. 'Bay State Jacket' 2~" hose · $1.00 per ft. On motion of Trustee Tubbe, du/y seconded by Haryatt,th&t a~l bids opened be referred to & committee, Trustees Tubbe and ~reeE leaf, being appointed as such committee. # On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbe that when the Board adjourned, lame to be Wednesday evening. Deo.19th l~l?, at ?:50 p.m. for the purpose of awarding hid on fire hose carried. W~ Xoepsel was before the Board and presented several petitioz i~rxeferenoe to establishing a district wherein oerts/n indue- trial establishments and business he excluded. On motion of Trustee Tubhe, duly seconded by Maryatt, the peti- tions were placed in the hands of the ~nduetris/ Committee, which lB composed of two members cf the Board, two of the C.~ C. and two members of the M & M A~eociation. A notice from the State Compensation Ins. Fund in reference to renews/ of insurance on City employees, was read , no action on dame being taken being postponed to Deo.19th. The resignation of Jack Munson, Motorcycle Officer, was read, and on motion of Trustee Tuhbs,duly seconded by Maryatt, same was accepted. On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seoondedby Maryatt, F.B.Elliott was appointed Motorcycle Officer, tt a salary of $120,00 per men' same to take effect at once. # A communication from the Chamber of Commerce in reference to participating in the Tourna,~ent of Roles to be held &t Pasaden& New Tear's Day, was read and on motion of Trustee Tubbe,duly seconded by Oreenleaf,that ea~e be plased in the hands of ·
