In Re ?~onthly Reports In Re Raise of Salaries in me ~otlon to raise sa]aries of laborers, lost in Re Committee pay roll to investigate City in Re Demands ing vote. Ayes, and Visel, Noes calling a special election for that purpose reciting the objects and purposes for which the indebtedness is pro- posed to be incurred, the estimated cost of the proposed public improvements,the amount of the principal of the lndeOtedness to be incurred therefor, and the rate of interest to be paid on said indebtedness, fixing the date on which such special election will be held, the manner of holding such election and the voting for or against the incurring of such indebtedness, and providing that in all particulars not recited in this Ordinance such election shall be held as provided by law for holding municipal elections in the City of ~anta Aha. And on motion of Trustee Geo.~cPhee seconded by Walter A.Greenleaf, and duly carried, the said Ordinance was ordered filed, was taken up, read and considered by the Board of Trustees and assigned No.630, and referred and submitted to the City Attorney for con~ideration and to be placed in prop~ form and condition for final passage and adoption by the Board of Trustees. The monthly reports of the Bldg. Inspector,Recorder,Fire Chief, and ~arshal were on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by NcPhee, referred to the Finance Committee. T~motion of Trustee Tubbs that the following r~tse in tn monthly salarlee, the ? policeman ~lO.OO per month each, the 4 paid firemen ~5.O0 each per month, the ~ade~man in the Street Dept.be given ~3.00 per day and the carpen- ter in the Water Dept. ~3.00 per day. The motion was duly seconded by Trustee Naryatt and passed by the follo~ Trustees Tubbe, ~cPhee,Greenleaf,Naryatt Trustees None. The motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt, that the 21 men in the Water and Street Dept. be raleed from the present pay to $3.00 per day, failed to pass by the following vote, Ayes, Trustees NcPhee,~ud ~aryatt Noes, Trustees Tubbs,Greenleaf, and Visel. On motion of Trustee Tubbs,duly seconded by Greenleaf, that the President of the Board appoint a committee with reference to investigating and get details what other cities are paying their employees and to go over the enti pay roll of this city, .with a view of equalizing the same Trustees Tubb~ and ~oPhee being appointed as such committ On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by ~aryatt, th~ Clerk was instructed to draw warrants on the Treasurer t¢ cover the demands as audited at Finance meeting Nos.lOC0 to ll?g inclusive.
