In Re <br /> <br />?~onthly Reports <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Raise of Salaries <br /> <br />in me <br /> <br />~otlon to raise sa]aries of <br />laborers, lost <br /> <br />in Re <br />Committee <br />pay roll <br /> <br />to investigate City <br /> <br />in Re <br /> <br />Demands <br /> <br />ing vote. Ayes, <br />and Visel, Noes <br /> <br />calling a special election for that purpose reciting the <br />objects and purposes for which the indebtedness is pro- <br />posed to be incurred, the estimated cost of the proposed <br />public improvements,the amount of the principal of the <br />lndeOtedness to be incurred therefor, and the rate of <br />interest to be paid on said indebtedness, fixing the date <br />on which such special election will be held, the manner of <br />holding such election and the voting for or against the <br />incurring of such indebtedness, and providing that in all <br />particulars not recited in this Ordinance such election <br />shall be held as provided by law for holding municipal <br />elections in the City of ~anta Aha. And on motion of <br />Trustee Geo.~cPhee seconded by Walter A.Greenleaf, and <br />duly carried, the said Ordinance was ordered filed, was <br />taken up, read and considered by the Board of Trustees <br />and assigned No.630, and referred and submitted to the <br />City Attorney for con~ideration and to be placed in prop~ <br />form and condition for final passage and adoption by the <br />Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />The monthly reports of the Bldg. Inspector,Recorder,Fire <br />Chief, and ~arshal were on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly <br />seconded by NcPhee, referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />T~motion of Trustee Tubbs that the following r~tse in tn <br />monthly salarlee, the ? policeman ~lO.OO per month each, <br />the 4 paid firemen ~5.O0 each per month, the ~ade~man <br />in the Street Dept.be given ~3.00 per day and the carpen- <br />ter in the Water Dept. ~3.00 per day. The motion was <br /> <br />duly seconded by Trustee Naryatt and passed by the follo~ <br /> Trustees Tubbe, ~cPhee,Greenleaf,Naryatt <br /> Trustees None. <br /> <br />The motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt, <br />that the 21 men in the Water and Street Dept. be raleed <br /> <br /> from the present pay to $3.00 per day, failed to pass <br />by the following vote, Ayes, Trustees NcPhee,~ud ~aryatt <br />Noes, Trustees Tubbs,Greenleaf, and Visel. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs,duly seconded by Greenleaf, <br />that the President of the Board appoint a committee with <br />reference to investigating and get details what other <br />cities are paying their employees and to go over the enti <br />pay roll of this city, .with a view of equalizing the same <br />Trustees Tubb~ and ~oPhee being appointed as such committ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by ~aryatt, th~ <br />Clerk was instructed to draw warrants on the Treasurer t¢ <br /> <br />cover the demands as audited at Finance meeting Nos.lOC0 <br />to ll?g inclusive. <br /> <br /> <br />
