City Hall, Santa Aha, Cal. April lst,191~, 7;~0 p.m. Board met in regular session. Meeting called to order by President Vlsel. Present, Trustees Tubbs, MoPhee, Oreenleaf, Maryatt, Minutes of March l~th and 25th read and approved. Vlsel and the Clerk. In Re Petition Street Lincoln St. lights, Monthly reports In Re Advertising Fund for Col C. In Re Donation, Patziotio Parade In Re DeoQratlo~s for Patriotic parade In Re Leave of Absence,Sid Smithwick On motion of and carried, owners on Lincoln St. North of 17th to denied. Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs the petition for street lights by property 0ity limits wa~ The monthly reports of the City Reoorder,~ldg. Inspector Fire Chief and Marshal, were on motion of Trustee Green- leaf, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, referred to the Finance Committee. A communication from the Chamber of Commerce asking the Board to turn over to the Chamber of Oommerce such part of the advextlsing Fund as advisable under the provisions of Ordinance No.557, on motion of Trustee Tubb$,duly seconded by McPhee and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant fox $400.00 Out of the advertising Fund. On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Tubbs and passed by the following vote,Ayes,Trustees Tubbe,Mo~hee, Greenleaf,Maryatt, and Vieel, Noes, Trustees None, the Clerk was instructed..tO draw a warrant out of the General Fund for $100.00 as a donation towards the Patrio- tic parade to be held Saturday, April 6th,191~. Oh motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, Street Supt.OBrien was granted permission to use several men and all the flags the city had on hand for decorating streets for the patriotic parade April 6th,191~. and on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, the Decorating committee was granted authority to expend any reasonable amount of funds deemed necessary in decorating the streets for the above parade. ~nd on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by MoPhee and carried, Trustee Maryatt was appointed a committee of one to secure and have decolated an auto for the use of the Board in eea~h above parade. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenle~f and carried, Police Officer Sid Smithwick was granted leave of absence during the remainder of the war.
