Santa Ana, Cal. City Hall, <br /> <br /> April 22, 1918, 7;30 p.m. <br /> <br />Board met in regular adjourned session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President Vieel. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees Tubbe,McPhee,Greenleaf,Maryatt, <br /> <br />Vlsel and the Clerk. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Canvass Bond Election <br /> <br />This being the first Monday and the regularly adjourned <br />meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa <br />Aha, next succeeding the date of the holding of the <br />Special election at and within said City on the 15th <br />day of April 191g, and all of the returns of the said <br />Special election having been duly made,returned to and <br />now in the possession of the Clerk of the City of Santa <br />Aha, it wa~ movedtb~ mx Trustee J.W. Tubbe, duly seconds <br />by Trustee Geo. McPhee aud carried, that the Board as <br />a committee of the whole canvaaa such election returns. <br />The Board of Trustees directed aHmk the returns to be <br />opened and proceeded to canvass said returns; the return <br />having been duly and regularly canvassed by the Board o <br />Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, the said Board finds <br />and orders it to be here established of record, <br /> <br /> (1) That there was submitted to the qualified voters <br />of the City of Santa Aha at the Special Election held <br />therein on the 15th day of April,1916, two propositions <br />aa follows: <br /> <br /> Proposition No.1, <br /> Shall the City of Santa Aha incur a bonded Aebt <br />in the sum of $35,500.00 for the purpose of acquiring <br />and constructing a municipal improvement in said City, <br />to-wit: a bridge over and extending across Santiago Ores <br />atthe place where Santiago Creek intersectsNorth Main <br />Street in the City of Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> Proposition No.2, <br /> Shall the City of Santa Aha incur a bonded debt <br /> in the sum of $7,700 for the purpose of acquiring and <br /> constructing a municipal improvement in said City, <br /> to-wit: a bridge over and extending across Santiago <br /> Creek at the place where said Santiago Creek intersects <br /> North Flower Street in the. City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> That for the purposes of said Special Election the <br /> voting precincts of the City of Santa Ana had been and <br /> were consolidated into twelve special election precinct, <br /> the votes cast in each of meld special election precin- <br /> cts were canvassed separately. <br /> <br /> In Special Election Precinct No.1, on Proposition No.1 <br /> 213 votes were cast "YES", and 32 votes were cast "NO" <br /> <br /> In Special Election Precinct No.1, on Proposition No.2 <br /> 211 votes were cast 'YES", and 28 votes were cast ~NO" <br /> <br /> In Special Election Precinct No.2,on Proposition No.1 <br /> 62 votes were cast "YES" and 40 votes were cast "NO" <br /> <br /> In Special Election Precinct No.2,on Proposition No.2 <br /> 65 votes were cast "YES" and 32 votes were cast "NO" <br /> <br /> InSpeotal Election Precinct No.3,on Proposition No.1 <br /> 120 votes were cast,YES, and 39 were cast 'NO" <br /> <br /> <br />
