379 Board met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by the Clerk. Present, Trustees Tubbs, McPhee, Oreenleaf, Absent, President Visel. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, President pro tem. Santa Aha, City Hall, Feb. 24,1919, ?:30 p.m. and Maryatt. duly seconded by MoPhee and carried, Trustee MarTatt was ·ppointe~ In Re Auto License Tax In Re Communication Chamber of Commerce, Street Paving In Re License granted to Pappas Bros. Pool room, A communication from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors soliciting this City's support in preventing the passage of an Assembly Bill now pending before the 8tats Legislature in reference to the distribution of the Auto license tax of the State. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Oreenleaf, the matter was referred to a committee, Trustees Tubbs and Greenleaf and City Attorney Scott being ·ppointed as such committee. A communication from the Directors of the Chamber of Commerce calling the Soard's attention to the need of re-paving of East Fourth St. from French to the Southern Pacific depot and Main St. from 20th to the S.P. crossing, also calling attention to the fact that several of the worst dips in the City require attention On motion of Trustee ~bbs, duly seconded by ~reenleaf, same wa~ referred to a committee. Trustees MoPhee and Greenles~f being appointed as such committee. On motion of Trustee Tubbe, d~tly seconded by McPhee and carried, Geo. A. and Nick B.Pappa~ were granted a license to conduct a pool and billiard room ·t 316 E.~th St. In Re An a~reement signed by S.W.$utton a~eeing to p·y the expense of Agreement S.W.Sutton vacating that portion of llth St. East of 5purgeon a~d within · reasonable time place the curb and walk at that place in · good condition by the construction of cement curb and walk. A Release signed by Jess L. Elllott releasing and acknowledging the receipt from the City cf $12~.$O for wages, doctor's fees and ~rugs for injury received while performing his duties as a voluntee fireman on the ~Oth day of November,l~lS, On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by MoPhee and carried, the release was ordered filed and a copy of sa~e sent to the Industrial Accident Commission of the State of California. Resolution ~616, · Resolution of Intention to vacate · portion Resolution $616 of llth St. East of Spurgeon,was read the second time and on Excavating portion of llth St. motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Greanleaf that same be adopted, passed by the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, MoPhee, Greenleaf and Mary·tr.
