Santa Ana, <br /> <br /> June 2, <br /> <br />Board met in regular saseion. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President Mitchell. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees Tubbs, Chapman, Dale and Greenleaf. <br /> <br />Reading of the minutes of May 19th, read and approved. <br /> <br />City Hall, <br /> <br />1919,?:30 p.m. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />P1 ay grounds <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />SoldLe~s Welcome Committee <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Pavin~ in <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Dump Ground <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Connecting County highway <br /> <br />Northeast section of City <br /> <br /> A communication from the City Federation of Parent-Teachers <br /> Association requesting some finenoial assistance in con- <br /> ducting free summer playgrounds during the months of July <br /> and August, also asking that some provision be made for <br /> subsequent yesme towards having a municipal summer play- <br /> ground for the City. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, <br /> the matter was referred to a committee to report at next <br /> meeting, Trustees Greenleaf and Dale being appointed as <br /> such committee. <br /> <br /> A communication from the Soldiers Welcome Committee of <br /> Anaheim asking that a delegate be appointed to attend a <br /> conference at Anaheim,May 30th, to prepare a welcome for <br /> the return of said soldiers and sailors, The date having <br /> passed before any action could be taken, the Clerk was <br /> instructed on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale <br /> to write the committee and so state the fact and that the <br /> Board wiehe~ to co-operate with them in any manner possible. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, <br /> <br />front of school property that a committee be appointed to confer with the School <br /> Board in reference to paving streets adjacent to school <br /> property, Trustees Greenleaf and Chapman being appointed am <br /> such committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Dale and <br /> carried, City Attorney Scott was instructed to cb:aw up a <br /> contract with Mm. Frank Thorpe in reference to right of way <br /> to the property offered by him as a City dumping ground. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs. duly seconded by Chapman, <br /> <br /> City Engineer Hoy is to give an estimate on the cost of <br /> connecting the pavement on Grand Avenue from 4th and East <br /> l?th between Grand Ave. and the East City Limits,Washington <br /> Ave. between the Santa Fe tracks and Grand Ave., and Water <br /> and Sewer Supt. Wray to report on conditions pertaining to <br /> Water and Sewer at the next meeting. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Auto tourist camp ground <br /> <br />Mr.F.P.Nickey was before the Board in reference to using <br />the City property on Flower St. adjacent to the bridge on <br />the North for a puollc camp ground for auto tourists. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs, <br /> <br /> <br />
