Bids to be opened first <br />meeting in July. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, <br />the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the <br />City fertilizer including inside sweepings, bids to be <br />opened at the Board's first meeting in July. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, <br />Street Supt.Hoy was authorized to purchas$ 20 barrels of <br />amphaltu~z for the Street Dept. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman, <br /> <br />City Engineer Hey was instructed to establish the grade on <br /> <br />Baker at.North of l?th St. <br /> <br />The monthly reports of the Building Inspector,Sanitary <br /> <br />Inspector, City Recorder, Marshal and thc Clerk were <br /> <br />referred to the Auditing committee on motion of Trustee <br />Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Tubbs and <br />carried, that a committee be appointed to take up the <br />matter with the Southern Counties Gas Co. with reference <br />to escaping ga~ killing trees along the parking on East <br />First St. Trustees Greenleef and Tubbs being appointed as <br />such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Tubbs and <br />carried, the following adjustment in the salaries of the <br />Pol~ee~ and Fire Depts. were made, the minimum wage of <br />firemen was placed at $$5.00 per month with an increase <br />of $5.00 e~oh year of service till the maximum of $100.OO <br />is reached. The minimum w~ge of police was placed at <br />$90.00 per month with an increase of $5.00 each year of <br />service t&ll the maximum mum of $100.00 is reached. <br /> <br />The salary of the Fire Chief from $155 to $t~5 per month. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br /> <br />salaries Water De~t. and carried, the salary of John Rudolph, foreman of the <br /> Water Dept. was increased from $3.50 to $~.00 per day, <br /> and the salary of W.W.Taylor, one of the assistant engi- <br /> eers at the plant raised from $~?.00 to $9~.00 per month. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br /> and carried,the salary of Frank Stewart, motorcycle officer, <br /> was increased from $1ZO to $150 per month, and all raises <br /> to be made dating from May let,1915. <br /> <br /> <br />
