Crans In Re Resolution to close alley Maple Ave. In Re Notice to Street contractors On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the monthly reports of the Marshal. Fire Chief, Sanitary Inspector, Recorder and Bldg. Inspector were referred to the Finance Committee. # On motion of Trustee Tuhbs, dul7 seconded h7 Dale and carried the hearing upon the applications of the Highway Transportation 0o. of hca Angeles and the Boulevard Express Co. of San Diego for permits to haul freight and express into and through the City was set for Aug.18th,1919, at ?:~0 p.m. The application of J.E.Hall and George Ward for a permit to install a 500 gallon gasoline tank for an oil filling station at the corner of let and Hickory Sts. was on motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Tubbs, referred to a committee with power to act. Trustees Dale and Tubbs being appointed as such committee. # In the matter of the application of J.W.Clift for a permit to operate a shooting gallery was on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale referred to the Fire Committee with power to act. # On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs , the matter of carrying $2000.00 insurance with the Connecti- cut Fire Insurance on the City Mall Bldg. was referred to the President with power to act. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, insurance on the City Hall Bldg. was increased from $~000 tO $12,O00. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, smd carried, the Clerk was duly seconded by Greenleaf, instructed to draw warrants on the Treasurer to cover the demands as audited at the Finance meeting ~126Z to 14~ inclusive. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, Wm. Crane was appointed a Fire Truck driver to succeed R.$.Elliott resigned. # On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, City Atty. Scott was instructed to draw up a Resolution for the closing of the of Blee'e 2nd Add.facing on Maple alley in Block Ave. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, Street Supt.Hoy was instructed to notify all street contractDrs that all permits for ci~oulating petitions for street paving must be filed with the Board not later than Aug.lSth or same would be cancelled.
