In Re Permit to close Second St. In Re Retaining wall, Flower St.bridge In Re Dumping of Street sweepings In Re Office Safe Cabinets In Re Dog Catcher In Re Government meats In Re Grand Ave. Map & Plans In Re Resolution $626 Weeds On motion of Trustee Tubbs dul7 seconded by ~hapman, action on the hearing of the Highway Transportation Co. was deferred for one week. # In the matter of the application of the Boulevard Express Co. of San Diego for a permit to haul freight and express through the City was granted on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconde¢ by Greenleaf and carried. # On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Dale the request of Wells & Breseler to close West 2nd St. from Ross to the East line of Baker for the purpose of constructing curOe, sewers and gutters where same are needed, was granted. # On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman the request of Mt.Bauer to build a retaining wall on the West side Of the Flower et.bridge was referred to a committee of the whole. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Dale and carried, arranging a place to dump street sweepings was referred to a committee with power to act. Trustee Greenleaf Street Supt.Hoy and Sanitary Inspector Chandler was appointed as such committee. # On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Greenleaf, the matter of needs for safe cabinets for the Clerk's and Engineers offices was referred to a committee, Trustees Dale and Greenleaf being appointed as such committee. On motion of Trustee Chapman duly seconded by Dale and carried the Police Dept. was authorized to procure the services of a Dog Catcher. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbe and carried, the committee appointed some time ago in reference to food offered for sale by the Government was authorized to order a oar of meats. # On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried,by the following vote, Ayes, Trustees Tubbs,Chapman, Dale,Greenleaf and Mitchell, Noes,Trustees None, map and plans of Grand and Santa Clara Aves. paving was accepted. Resolution No.626, a resolution declaring certain weeds, grass, rubbish and litter on certain lots and land facing certain streets to be a public nuisance and ordering the abatement of same and taxing the cost to the property affected thereby was read and on motion of Trustee Greenleaf
