On motion of Trustee Greenl~af, duly seconded by Tubbs, that action on same be deferred and a committee appointed to compare remonstrance with petition.carried. Trustees Greenleaf and Tubba being appointed aa such committee. Mr. C. H. Vale and A. J. Lasby were before t?~ Board asking that a strip North of 20th street be abandoned aea Street. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly secondsd by Grsenleaf and carried, the matter was re- ferred to a committee. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded Dy Chap- man and carried, E. W. Boynton was apr'ointed a police succeed John Combs. AVpolntment effective 19~0. City Engineers Hoy's report in reference to conditions of the pavement in the alley between 5rd and 4th St. French and Broadway was read and on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the report was accepted, and on motion of Trustee Tub~s, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, City Attorney Scott was instructed ~o draw up the necessary resolution of intention of improving said portion of alley with concrete.
