Same was accepted and ordered filed, and the Street Supt. instructed to interview property owners with a once. The committee appointed to checking the protest view of havin~ same repaired at at last meeting in reference against the paving petition of l?th, from Broadway to S~ntiago. Reported ~hat & large majority of property ownerer~a~inst paving at this time, and on motion o£ Trustee Tu~Os, duly seconded by Chapman, and carried, the petition to pave the street was denied. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubbs sn,~ carried, the request of property owners to have a strip north of 20th abandoned as s street was denied. On motion of Trustee ~ubbs du~y s~conded by Chapman ~nd carrie~ the protest against pavin6 west 10th Street bet~en Par ton and Van Ness was recognized and petition to pave said portion of s~reet at this time was denied. On motion of and carried, Ford for the Trustee Creenleaf duly seconded by Chapman the contract between the City an~ B. F. paving of a strip 9 feet wide on l~th Street, from the East line of Santiago to the center lin~ of Zabury street was a~proved and the bond for making the improvement was referred to the chair for a~nroval. On motion of Trustee Oreenleef duly seconded byD~le and carried, Steel Finley was granted a permit to cir- culate a ~etition for pavin~ E~st 4th Street from French to the Santa Fe Ry. Tracks with a 5" re-in?creed con- crete base, 1½" as?halt to%re-inforced Oy standard woven No. ~ wire space 4" with standard tie -~res, under specifications no. 80, at 2g.4 cents per square foot. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Tubbs an~ carried, Steel Finley was granted s permit tc close 4th Street from French to ~ortimer in order to rerpare above portion of street for On motion of Truete~ Tubbs, paving. duly seconded by Chapman end carried City Attorney Scott was instructed to pre- pare the necessary resolutlon for e~tablishlng the fo]lo~ lng gTsdes: East 4th ~treet, from French to the Feota Fe Ry.
