In the matter of W. $. Carlisle for a permit to conduct a repair chop at 1~O2 W. 5th St. The motion of Trustee Greenleaf that a permit be granted was dm!y seconded by Chapman and the motion was lost by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Chapman and Greenleaf, Noes: Trust eec Tubbe and Mitchell. Absent: Trustee Dale. On motion of Trustee Chapman duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the bid of W. C. Seoombe to construct approximately 52~O feet of lB'; 3630 ft. of 15#; 1320 ft. of 12'; 3400 ft. cf lO~ concrete sewer pipe at per lineal foot and for the estimated ? man holes $49.00 each. for the construction of the eetima~ed 12 lantern holes, $1.00 each., was accepted and City Attorney lnst~uctedto prepare the necessary contract for same. ~he Clerk wac also instructed to return the certified checks to # On motion~ T~uetee the unsuccessful bidders. Chapman duly seconded by Tubbe and carried, the Clerk wac instructed to advertise for new bids for the construction of a Fire Hall, according to revised plane and specifications ae designed by architect W. W. ~aye. # On motion of Trustee Chapman duly seconded by Tubbe and carried, the Clerk was instructed to run an adver- tisement offering for sale to the highest Oidder the City Jail Building situated on Sycamore Street, Lot ? ~Town of Santa Ans. The motion of Trustee C. H. Chapman that a committee be appointed to take up the matter regarding the distri- bution of the Bond appropriation for paving North ~ain St. and to report at next meeting, The motion wac dul seconded by Trustee W. A. Greenleaf and csrried. Trustees Chapman, Tu~e and Green!caf were appointed a such committee.
