Board met in regular adjourned session. Meetin~ called to order by President Mitchell. Present: Trustees C.H.Chapman, H.H.Dale, and the Clerk. Absent: Trustee J.W.Tubbs. In Re ADrlication Jacob Alpert In Re Monthly Report~ In Re Demands In Re Dump Ground Lease Harper Bros. Santa Ana City Hall. September 5th, 1922. 7:30 P. M. ~'.A.Greenleaf, 4th read and approved. A cormnunication from the Directors of the Lions Club of the City of Santa Ana requesting and recommending a traffic officer at the main inter- sectiormon Fourth Street during the rush hours each day, especially on Sundays and holidays, was read. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and ,Tarried, the matter was referred to the Police Co~ittee and Chief of Police Jernigan. A communication from the League of California Municipalities asking this City to send representa- tives to the League's next meeting to be held at Palo Alto September 19th to 23rd inclmsive, was read. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to the Chair to take what action necessary. 0n motion of Trustee Oreenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the application of Jacob Alpert for a pelwnit to conduct a J~nk business at 116 N. Snurgeon Street, was referred to the Police Commit tee. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the monthly reports of the various city officers were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, dttly seconded by Dale and carried, the Clerk was ordered to draw warrants on the Treasurer to cover the demands as audited by the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Oreenleaf, duly seconded by Dale and carl, led, President Mitchell was authorized to sign the contract with Harper Brothers for a land lease to be used by the City for dumping rubbish and waste.
