In Re Gas Main bouth Oristol St. On motion of Trustee Chap~n, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the report from the Board of Education of the sale of a portion of the Washing- ton School site to the Spurgeon Memorial Church and the Y. M. C. A., was accepted and sales approved. A protest signed by a number of property owners and tenants near the northwest corner of Broadway and Second Street against the location of the Triangle Express depot was presented. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to a Committees Trustees Dale and Chapman being appointed as such Cormnittee. A petition s~gned by a number of property owners on Spurgeon Street between Washiugton Avenue Seventeenth Street asking that ~bove portion of street be improved with Wortland cement concrete, under the 1911 Improvement Act and 1915 Bond Act, was read and on motion of Trustee Greenlead, duly seconded by Dale and carried, same wes referred to City Engineer Knox for checking. Mr~ J. P. Harper, representing Harper Bros. was before the Board in reference to renting or pur- chasing the City paper bailer. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried the matter was referred to the Street Committee. Mr. Grisset, representing the Diamond School Trustees, was ~ fore the Board~n reference to connecting a sewer line from the Diamond School to the outfall sewer. On motion of Trustee Chap- man, duly seconded by Dale ,nd carried, same was referred to a Cormmittee; Trustees Chapman and Greenleaf being appointed ss such Committee. Mr. Robt. Gerwing, a property owner on South Bristol Street was before the Board in reference to having a main gas line installed on South Bristol Street to the City Limit line before abov~ portion of Street is improved by paving. On mot1~ of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Greenleaf an~ carried, the matter was referred to tbs C~ir to be taken up with the Gas Company.
