Filling Station First and Broadway In Re Matter Pertaining Flmwer Street Bridge In Re West Fifth Street Repairs In RS A~gentine Ant Pest In the matter of the &pplioation of Angeloe Poppas for a permit to conduct & pop corn and peanut cart at the Southwest corner of Third and Birch Streets, same w~ denied on motion of Trustee Dale duly seconded by Ohap- man and carried. # On motion of Trustee Tubbs duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the application of Christian Brothers to conduct a used car mar- ket on a portion of the Southwest corner lot a' Fifth and French Streets was granted. Mr. Csml Shipkey of the Union 0il Company was before the Board and made application for a permit to conduct a filling station on the l~ortheast corner of First and Broadway, stat- ing that the Company had the consent of the adjoining property owners. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the request was granted. Outting 9f the curb to be u~der the supervision of the Street Superintend,hr and the filling statics under the supervision of Building Inspector Fire Chief. Attorney S. B. Kauffm~n was before the Board on behalf of Geo. I. Ba~er in reference to damages to hie property from high water in Santiago Creek, claiming same was caused from the construction of the Flower Street bridge. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the matter was referred to the City Engineer to make a report on con- dition of the bridge. Mr. Carlyle of Fifth and Bristol was before th, Board and made a request that same temporary repairs be made on West Fifth in order to make same passable. On motion of Trustee Dale duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to the Street Committee. M~. J~ J. Ziellian wan before the Board in reference to the A~gentine Ant, asking the Board to take some action in order to combat this peet. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and carried,' the Clerk was in.
