Santa Ana City Hall, March 27th, 1922. V:30 P. M. Board met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by President John G. Present: In Re Mitchell. Trustees J. W. Tubbs, C. H. Chapman, H. Lee for a petit to conduct a pool and billiard parlor at 81S N. Main, under the same plan as the Alexander Parlors: On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the permit was granted. On motion of T~ustee Dale, duly seconded by Cha~an and carried, the application of M. P. Miller for a license to conduct a cafe at 403 East Fourth Street was referred to the Police Committee. In the ma~$e~ of the application of C. H. Ryan for a permi to eondu~t a sales stable at the Northeast corner of Fifth and Arteaia Streets: On motion of Trustee Tubhs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the request was granted The comunioation from Dan V. Noland, Attorney for Mrs. Winifred Roberts~ in reference to withdrawal of any offer heretofore made to accept the $§0.00 assessed Mrs. Roberts as a fine, as a settlement and demanding the s~ of SASl.§O, was read and on motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to the City Attorney and Special Counsel. On motion of Trnstee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, J. ~. Antoine was granted a permit to lay an irrigation pipe line across Artesia Street between Washiz ton Avenue and Ninth Street in two different places, under the supervi~ on of the Street Superintendent. On motion of Trustee ~hapman, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the Clerk is instructed to sign the Board's approval of Map Tract 2~8 when the Bond accompanying the same has been approved by the President of the Boar~. The bond of F. J. Homart for private cement sidewalk and curbing and the bond of the Hollow Wall Concrete Company for electric wiring were, on motion of ~a~astee ~Abbs, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, referred l~ the ~hair for approval.
