A. T. Eddins for a permit to conduct a <br />lodging house at 918 East Fourth Street was referred <br />to the Police Committee on motion of Trustee Dale, <br />duly seconded by Chapman and carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, the request of E. A. Nee for <br /> <br />permission to construct a culvert on Greenleaf Street <br /> of his property, was granted under <br /> of the Street Superintendent. <br /> <br />The request of Harrison and Hug~hes for permission to <br />ha~ an advertising sign on East Fourth Street <br />between the Crescent Hardware Company m~d Cochems <br />Bakery, on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, was referred to a Committee, <br />Trustees Tubbs and Chapman being appointed as such <br />cormnittee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by ~bbs <br />and carried, the request of K. A. Lorech and J. J. <br />Jacobs for permission to cut the curb on the south- <br />east corner of Third and Bush Streets and to erect a <br />gas pump, was referred to Trustee Greenleaf and <br />Street Superintendent with power to act. <br /> <br />A communication from the East Side Board of Trade, <br />Oakland, and a questionnaire with reference to the <br />work of the State Railroad Commission, was read and <br />on motion of Trustee Tubbs, .duly seconded by Chapman <br />and carried, the matter was referred to the Board as <br />Co~ittee of the whole. <br /> <br /> <br />
