Tubbs, C. H. Chapman, H. H. Dale, A. Greenleaf and the C~erk. In Re Minutes On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, Trustee Mitchell was appointed President of the Board for the ensuing year. The minutes of April 3rd and 10th approved as read. In Re Request A. T. Eddins In Re Permit E. A. Nee. In Re Request Harrison & Hughes Advertising Sign. In Re Request of Lorech & Jacobs In Re Oakland Board of Trade near the center the supervision The request of. A. T. Eddins for a permit to conduct a lodging house at 918 East Fourth Street was referred to the Police Committee on motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chapman and carried. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the request of E. A. Nee for permission to construct a culvert on Greenleaf Street of his property, was granted under of the Street Superintendent. The request of Harrison and Hug~hes for permission to ha~ an advertising sign on East Fourth Street between the Crescent Hardware Company m~d Cochems Bakery, on motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, was referred to a Committee, Trustees Tubbs and Chapman being appointed as such cormnittee. . On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by ~bbs and carried, the request of K. A. Lorech and J. J. Jacobs for permission to cut the curb on the south- east corner of Third and Bush Streets and to erect a gas pump, was referred to Trustee Greenleaf and Street Superintendent with power to act. A communication from the East Side Board of Trade, Oakland, and a questionnaire with reference to the work of the State Railroad Commission, was read and on motion of Trustee Tubbs, .duly seconded by Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to the Board as Co~ittee of the whole.
