C. Harby to do private <br />cement sidewalk and curbing was referred to the Chair <br />and City E~ngineer. <br /> <br />A petition si~ned by a number of property owners askir <br /> <br />that that portion of West Third Street betweE <br />and Forrest Avenues and that portion on Forte <br />between Third and Fourth Streets be improved <br />concrete pavement, subject to the ten year p~ <br />plan of the Bond Act of 1915, was read, and <br />of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and <br />same was referred to the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> Pacific <br /> <br /> Avenue <br /> <br />~ith <br />~ent <br /> <br /> motion <br /> tried, <br /> <br />A petition signed by a number of property owners on <br />French Street between Fifteenth and Seventeenth Streets <br />asking that the above portion of French Street be im- <br />proved with six inch concrete pavement with belt finisk <br />wearing surface, wss read, and on motion of Trustee <br />Greenlsaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the <br />matter was referred to City Engineer Knox. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, seconded by Chapman <br />and carried, the Board rescinded its former action in <br />reference to improving Van Ness Street from Fifth to <br />Hickey with gravel and oil, and Street S~perintendent <br />Dahl was instructed to proceed according to the Con- <br />tract of agreement by the property owners. <br /> <br />On motion o~ Trustee $~lapman, duly seconded by Green- <br />leaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise <br />for bids for furnishing the Water Department with ptunp, <br />as per plans and specifications on file in the Water <br />~Super!ntendent's office. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs <br />and Carried, the Orange County Engineering and <br />Construction Company were granted an extension of <br />thirty days time to finish paving the Lincoln School <br />property abutting on French Street and the Upurgeon <br />School on Cubbon Street, according to their contract. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubb$ <br />and carried, Street Superintendent Dahl was instructed <br />to accept the offer of Knox and Stout for a Ford truck <br />on the basis of $300.00 down and $200.00 per month <br />rental. <br /> <br /> <br />
