In Re <br /> <br />Matter pertaining to <br /> <br />Paving, Sidewalk and <br /> <br />Curb Inspection. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />E. and W. lVth St. <br /> <br />Improvement. <br /> <br />1922, in reference to the House of Representatives <br />Bill No. 11449, to provide for the protection and <br />development of the Lower Colorado River. On motion <br />of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Oreenleaf and <br />carried, the Resolution was indorsed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by <br />Greenleaf and carried, City Attorney Scott, City <br />Engineer Knox and Street Superintendent Dahl were <br />instructed to prepare an Ordinance governing <br />paving, sidewalk and curb insoectien and sidewalk <br />and curb ~oecifications, ,~nder private contract. <br /> <br /> · ~his bei~ the day, hour and ~lace fixed by the <br /> Board of Trustees and set forth in Resolution of <br /> Intention No. 778, when and where any and all per-1 <br /> sons havin~ any objection to the work or improve- <br /> ment proposed by Resolution of Intention No. 778 <br /> ~igbt appear before the Board of Trustees and show'~ <br /> cause why said proposed work or improvement should! <br /> not be carried out in accordance with said resolu- <br /> tion, and t~,~e Board of Trustees being in session <br /> at a regular meeting there6f, proceeded to hear <br /> <br /> and pass upon ail protests made. <br /> a <br /> A protest was ~il~d by Southern <br /> <br /> Pacific Railroad,Co~Dany against the proposed work <br /> and against the extent of the district to be <br /> assessed, and the same was duly heard, considered <br /> and r~.,~sed u~on by the Bo~rd of Trustees ~nd was <br /> overruled and denied and the Board of Trustees <br /> find that the protest is not made by the owners of <br /> one ball of the area of the property to be r~ssess- <br /> ed for the improvement. <br /> <br /> Trustee ?~. J~-. Greenleaf introduced a <br /> resolution overruling and denying the protest of <br /> Southern Pacific Company and Southern P. aciftc Rail~ <br /> road Company. The resolution was ordered filed, <br /> read, considered and designated Resolution Over- <br /> ruling Protest ]~o. 784, the roll was called and th,~ <br /> resolution pussed by the vote of the following <br /> named members of the Board of Trustees, to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Trustees J. b. Tubbs, ¥,. A. Creenleaf, <br /> <br /> John G. Mitchell. <br /> <br /> Noes: Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees C. H. Chapman, P~. ~. Dale. <br /> <br /> <br />
