On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by <br /> Green]ear and carried, the request was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, du~y seconded by Tubbs <br /> and carried, the request of John Michelson for per- <br /> mission to remove a lar2e tree in the parking in front <br /> of his residence, 1625 N. Bush Street, was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br /> and carried, the request of the Orange County Engineer- <br /> ing and Construction Company for an additional thirty <br /> days extension of time for finishing their contract fo: <br /> paving the streets adjoining tt-.e Spurgeon and Lincoln <br /> Schools, wss granted. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Knox reported that the ~etition to pave <br /> ~'est First Street from Flower to Baker represented <br /> seventy-four per cent of the frontage effected. On <br /> motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly 2nd by Greenleaf and <br /> carried, the petition was granted and the matter refer. <br /> red back to the City Engineer for further proceedings. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf <br /> and carried, street lights were ordered instal]ed in <br /> the following places: arc light on Fourth and Shelton <br /> incandescent light on Myrtle &treet, west of Flower. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee ~reen]eaf, duly seconded by Tubbs <br /> and carried, action tal~en at the me~tin~ of ~Tay 8th, <br /> 1922, in reference to stdewall~bein2 constr~cted ad- <br /> Joining the curb on Cubbon Street between Main Street <br /> and Orange Avenue was rescinded. <br /> <br />A petition signed by a large number of property owners <br />on Sixth Street between Broadway and Baker Streets, <br />asking that the above portion of street be improved <br />with five inches of concrete with belt finish, under <br />the 1911 and 1915 Improvement Acts, was read, and on <br />motion of Trustee Green~eaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and <br />carried, same was referred to t?,e City Engineer for <br />checking purooses. <br /> <br />A communication from Grant ~. Lorraine, Secretary of <br />the Southern Section ~eague of California Munlcipal~s. <br />was read, also a copy of a resolution wbich was adopted <br />by that body at a meeting held in this City May 4th, <br /> <br /> <br />
