M. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dale duly seconded by Tubbs <br /> and carried, M. Boylan was granted permission to <br /> conduct a gasoline service station at the southeast <br /> corner of Main and Edinger Streets and permission <br /> to install one 580 gallon gasoline tank and pump, <br /> under the proper supervision of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> 6n motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by <br /> Tubbs and carried, the Board of Education was <br /> granted permuission to purchase property for Mexican <br /> school purposes at Hickey and Artesia Streets. <br /> <br />In the matter of the application of George King for <br />permission to conduct a soft drink stand on West <br />Third Street opposite Birch Park on the Heninger <br />property same was, on motion of Trustee Chapman, <br />duly seconded by Dale and carried, referred to the <br />Chairman of the Police Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Green~eaf, duly seconded by <br />Tubbs and carried, the agreement and deed from <br />Hulda and Joseph Gilmaker for the alley way betweeF <br />Broadway and Birch and between ~ird and Fourth <br />Streets was accepted and tbs Clerk instructed to <br />have the same recorded. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />A petition si~ned by a number of property owners <br />on West Third Street between Pacific and Forrest <br />Avenues and Forrest Avenue between Third and Fourtt <br />asking that the above portion of s~reets be improve( <br />by the construction of rock and oil pavement, sub- <br />Ject to the ten year payEent plan of the Bond Act <br />of 1915, was read, and on motion of Trustee l~bbs, <br />duly seconded by Dale and carried, the matter was <br />referred to the Board as a Committee of the whole. <br /> <br />Mr. J. J. Zietlan was before <br />to the Ar~,entine ~ant, asking <br /> <br />the Board in refereace <br />that the Board take <br /> <br />some steps toward controlling ttils pest.
