Bdwy Park Tract On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Purintcn and carried, City Attorney Z.B.West, Jr. was grs~ted leave of absence and Frankl~m O.West was Appointed Deputy City Attorney, without compensation, to h~ndle affairs of City d,~ring A~torney's absence. Tb~s be~n~ the day and bout f~r hearing rrotests or a~pea]s of any ~ersons ~nterested ~n the work, improvement or assessment made therefor on a portion of N. Park Blvd., Heliotrope Dr., Riverside Dr. and Benton Way in accordance with Resolution of Inten- tion No.I~ and the Board of Trustees being now in open session, proceeded to hear and consider protests. Several property owners appeared before the Board and entered oral protests with reference to the grade and drainage of the street. On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Purinton and carried, the m~tter wms taken ~nder advisement and Street Committee, ~ity En~ineer and property owbers requested to investigzte thoroughly and report back in one week. ~hts being the first Monday and meeting of the Board of Trustees of the c~ty of Santa Aha after the 28rd day of June, lg25, on which was he~d the special election to vote for and against the issuance of the bonds of the City of Smuts Aha for the completion of the municipal water works thereof; the Board of Trustees proceeded to and did sanvaas the returns of said election and find: That there were cast Y~S Bg4 votes. ~l~nat there were cast NO 1882 votes. That less than two thirds of all the voters voting at the election voted in favor of the pro- position and the issuance ~nd the sale of the bonds are nna~thorlzed. Trustee Co~lier introduced a resolution a~pting plans m~d specifications for tbs ~nstallation of a lighting system upon and along portions of the following streets: N. Park Bl~., Riverside'Drive, Heliotrope Dr., Benton Way, Bonnie Brae, N. Flower St. and N. Bdwy. The resolution w~s ordered filed, read, consider- ed, designated ~esolution Adopting P~zns and Specifications No. 152~ and passed by the fol~ow~ng vote: Ayes: Trustees ~.~.~h~psan, Geo.
