Board met inregular session. Meeting called to order by President Tubbs. Present: Trustees C.H.Chalmnan, Geo. McPhee, E. B. Collier, F.L.Purinton, J.W. Tubbs. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of March t6th,23rd and 30th approved as read. In Re Permit Robertson Elec. Co. In He Bond L. R. King. In Re Water pipe for sale. In Re Insurance - Lights on Main St. In Re Petitions - Service station - 1st & Hickory. In Re Reports City Officers. In Re Demands. In Re Protest - Moving of house - Flower & Washington. Santa Ana City Hall. April 6th, 1928. 7:30 P. M. On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Purinton and carried, Robertson Elec. Co. was granted permission to hang electric s~gn for O. A. Haley, Inc., at 418 Bush Street, under su~ rvision of Electric Inspector. On motion of Trustee Ch~4~nan, seconded by Purinton and carried, bond of L. R. King in amount of $500.00 for cement work was referred to the Chair for approval or disapproval. On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise 15000 feet of used water pipe for sale, in lots of 5000 ft. or more. An insurance policy covering the standards of the N. Main Street ornamental lighting system was presented to the Board from the Municipal Service Company representing Marbelite lighting standards. On motion of Trustee Purint, seconded by Chalmnan and carried, policy was accepted. A protest against the erection of a service station at the southeast corner 1st and Hickc~y Streets was read. There was also read a petition in favor of the station. On motion of Trustee Purinton, seconded by Chapman and carried by a four fifths vote, protest was denied and permission granted for the erection of service station. On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Purinton and carried, reports of the various city officers for the month of March, were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Chalm~an, seconded by Purinton and carried, the C~erk was authorized to draw warrants coverin~ demands as audited by the Finance Committee. A protest was presented from prop~ rty owners in the vieini~ of Washington Avenue and Flower Streets against permission being granted for moving of old residences, from a point out* side the city,in to that vicinity.
