M. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Purinton and <br />carried, Robertson Elec. Co. was granted permission to <br />hang electric s~gn for O. A. Haley, Inc., at 418 Bush <br />Street, under su~ rvision of Electric Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Ch~4~nan, seconded by Purinton and <br />carried, bond of L. R. King in amount of $500.00 for cement <br />work was referred to the Chair for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise 15000 feet <br />of used water pipe for sale, in lots of 5000 ft. or more. <br /> <br />An insurance policy covering the standards of the N. Main <br /> <br />Street ornamental lighting system was presented to the <br /> <br />Board from the Municipal Service Company representing <br /> <br />Marbelite lighting standards. On motion of Trustee Purint, <br /> <br />seconded by Chalmnan and carried, policy was accepted. <br /> <br />A protest against the erection of a service station at <br />the southeast corner 1st and Hickc~y Streets was read. <br />There was also read a petition in favor of the station. <br />On motion of Trustee Purinton, seconded by Chapman and <br />carried by a four fifths vote, protest was denied and <br />permission granted for the erection of service station. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Purinton and <br />carried, reports of the various city officers for the <br />month of March, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chalm~an, seconded by Purinton and <br />carried, the C~erk was authorized to draw warrants coverin~ <br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> A protest was presented from prop~ rty owners in the vieini~ <br /> of Washington Avenue and Flower Streets against permission <br /> being granted for moving of old residences, from a point out* <br /> side the city,in to that vicinity.
