In Re <br /> <br />Bids <br /> <br />Police Car. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Protests - Opening <br /> <br />of Victoria Drive. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resolution of Award No. <br /> <br />1481 - N. Baker Street. <br /> <br />the State Senate and approval by the Governor, and <br />particularly do we approve of its Sections relating to <br />cities of the Fifth Class." <br /> <br />This being the tir~e and place set forth for the opening <br />of bids for furnishing the City with Special touring car <br />for use by the Police Department, and the Board of Truste <br />being now in open session, proceeded to and did publicly <br />open, examine and declare all bids received. Only one <br />bid was received, being that of O. A. Haley, Inc., in <br />amount of $1178.00. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McPhee, seconded by Chapman and <br />carried, bid was accepted and contract so awarded. <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed and set forth in <br />Ordinance of Intention No. 76~ for hearing protests <br />against the opening of Victoria Drive as proposed therei: <br />and the Board of Trustees being duly convened in open <br />session, proceeded to hear all protests. Written l~otest~ <br />from Cora and Tessie Winter amd W.E.Poole were presented. <br />On motion of Trustee Purinton, seconded by Cha]mnan and <br />carried, protests were referred to the Engineer to check <br />frontage represented and matter was taken under advisemen <br />until next meeting of the Board. <br /> <br />A~ this time the Board took a five minute recess to go <br />into executive session f~considering bids for the <br />improvement of N. Baker Street. After due consideration <br />and a thorough investigation bY the Board of the <br />responsibility of the Union Contracting Compan$, the <br />low bidder, Trustee Purinton made a motion, seconded by <br />Collier and carried, that the contract for the Improvemen <br />of a portion of N. Baker Street as per Resolution of <br />Intention No.1430 be awarded to the lowest responsible <br />bid~e~ in the estimation of the B~m~, being Griffith <br />Comp any. <br /> <br /> A resolution of award was introduced, awarding the <br />contract for said improvement to Grlffith Company as <br />the lowest responsible bidder therefor. The resalAtion <br />was filed, read, considered, designated Resolution of <br /> <br />Award No. <br /> Ayes: <br /> <br />Noes: <br /> <br />1481 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Trustees C.H.Chapman, Geo. McPhee, E.B.Col$ier <br /> F.L. Purinton, J.W. Tubbs. <br /> <br />Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br /> <br />
