Randel. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Gas Engines. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bids--Concrete Reservoir. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Goode and <br /> carried, reports of the various City Officers for the <br /> month of January were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> On ~otion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and <br /> carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants <br /> covering demands as audited by the Finance Com~ittee. <br /> <br />A ~rotest signed by thirty-four property owners on <br />North Main Street between Washington Avenue and the <br />City Limits, was presented against the opening of that <br />portion of the street to business enterprises. On <br />motlon of Trustee Collier, seconded by Chapman and <br />carried, the protest was ordered filed for future <br />reference. <br /> <br />Ers. N. H. Hilton appeared before the Board in behalf <br />oF the Ebe]l Club and asked contribution from the City <br />in ammmt of .~50.00 to the Garden Section for prize <br />money. On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chap- <br />man and carried, request was granted and Clerk autho- <br />rized to draw warrant. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~oode, seconded by Chapman and <br />carried, an expenditure of $300.00 was authorized to <br />construct a drainage ditch from Louise Street to <br />Bristol Street on the extension of W. Fifteenth Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Collier and <br />carried, the Albln E. Johnson Company were authorized <br />to audit books of J.A. Randel covering the time that <br />he was Pound Master of the City of Santa Aha, and re- <br />port back at the next meeting of the Board. <br /> <br />Noes: <br /> <br />After due consideration of the report of ~r. Stone, <br />advisory engineer, on motion of Trustee Chapman it was <br />ordered to proceed to install natural gas engines for <br />motive power at the City's Well and Booster Station on <br />North Bristol Street; the motion was duly seconded by <br />Trustee Collier and upon call of roll carried, as ~s: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Trustees C.H.Chapman, Gee McPhee, <br /> E.B. Collier. <br /> <br /> Trustees Stanley E. Goode, F.L.Purinton. <br /> <br />This being the time set for awarding contract for the <br />construction of a concrete reservoir for the City of <br />Santa Ana, and all bids hav!ug been checked and con- <br />sidered, on motion of Tz~stee Chapman, seconded by <br />Goode and carried, contract was awarded to the Barrows <br />Construction Company, low bidder, at the -~rice named <br /> <br /> <br />
