Municipal Band. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bond of Leo Hartfield. <br /> <br />347 <br /> <br />seconded by Collier and <br />the Light Committee, <br /> <br />carried, application was referred to <br />McPhee. <br /> <br />A proposal was read from Albin E. <br /> <br />Johnson Co., submitting a <br /> <br />rate of $170 for a quarterly audit of the books of the City; <br />reports to be made at the end of'each three months which wi!] <br />be combined into an annual report at the end of the fiscal <br />year for the total of $680. On motion of Trustee Goode, <br />seconded by Chapman and carried, the proposal was accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Collier and carried, <br />the Clerk was ordered to transfer the sum of $14,944.00 from <br />the General Fund to the Street Fund, which was originally <br />paid out of the Street Fund in payment of Equipment. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and.carried <br />the Clerk was ordered to advertise for the following: <br /> <br />Approximat~y(l186 <br /> (1800 <br /> <br /> 1-- 250 inch Turbine Pump <br /> 1-- 120 H.P. Gas En$1ne <br /> 1-- 160" " <br /> <br />( 100 Ft. 20 Inch Pipe <br />( 300" 16 " " <br />" 14 " " <br />" 12 " " <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and car- <br /> ried, the Street Commissioner was ordered to submit plans <br /> and specifications to the Board for a City Garage to be <br /> built on City property. <br /> <br /> Plans for a combination comfort station and band stand were <br /> discussed and on motion of Trustee Goode,~econded by Collier <br /> and carried, the Park Commissioner was ordered to submit <br /> plans and specifications covering same. <br /> <br />On motion Sf Trustee Chapman, seconded by Collier and car- <br />ried, the City Engineer was instructed to have three board <br />signs made for Birch Park on which the following is printed: <br />"Ball Playing and Bicycle Riding Prohibited in this Park'!. <br /> <br /> The matter of sending the municipal band to Los Angeles to <br /> represent the City of Santa Ana at the annual Canadian Picni~ <br /> was on motion of Trustee'Collier, seconded by Goode and car- <br /> ried, referred to Mr. Purinton, President of the Board, to <br /> convene with the President and Director of the Band as to the <br /> advisability of sending the band. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Goode and carried, <br /> City Attorney was instructed to allow Leo Hartfield to de- <br /> posit bond, pending the appeal of his case, for the portion <br /> <br /> of the unpaid balance of the license due~. providing he appe~ <br /> ~ase, <br /> <br /> <br />
