<br />This bein~- the time and place set forth For the opening
<br />
<br />of bids or proposals for the improvement of a portion of

<br />So. Msln Street, ss briefly described in Resolution of
<br />
<br />Intention No. 1729, and the Board of Trustees being duly
<br />
<br />convened in open session, proceeded to open, examlne and
<br />
<br />declare all bids received as follows:
<br />
<br />Item 1. The grading to a subgrade and the laying thereon
<br />of eight (8) inch Portland Cement Concrete Paverr~ent, com-
<br />plete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment,
<br />labo~ and m~erial for the s~m of $ per sq. ft.
<br />Item 2. The grading to a subgrade Jnd the laying thereon
<br />of a five (5) inch Portland Cement Concrete Pavement,
<br />plate with the furnishing of all necesssry equipment,
<br />i~bor and material for the sum of 5' per sq. ft.
<br />Item 3. The' excavation for ~nd the construction of
<br />Concrete Curbs, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />sary equipment, labor and m~terlal for the sum of ~
<br />I)e~ linear foot.
<br />Iter~ 4. The excavation for and the construction o~
<br />Concrete Sidewalks, having a total thickness of three and
<br />one-half (3~) inches, complete with the furnishing of all
<br />~}eceaaary equipment, labor and material for the sum of
<br /> per sq. ft.
<br />Item 5. The trenching, furnishing and laying of elght (8
<br />inch diameter main sewer, complete with the furnishing of
<br />all necessary equipment, labor and material for the sum
<br />o~ $ per linear foot.
<br />Item 6. The trenching, furn~shlng and laying of four (4)
<br />inch diameter house connecting sewer laterals, complete
<br />with the h~rnlshing of all necessary equipment, labor and
<br />material for the sum of ~~er linear foot.
<br />Item 7. The excavation ~or ~nd the Construction o~ one
<br />reln~orced concrete culvert complete with the furnishing
<br />of all race,sari equipment, labor ~nd material for the su~
<br />of $ complete.
<br />Ytem-~ fu~nishlng and installation of an Ornamental
<br />Li~htIng System consisting of One Hundred and Ten (llO)
<br />King No. KOI?i Double Lighting Standards, equipped with
<br />Oeneral Electric Form No. 12 Ornamental Novalux Units In-
<br />c]ud!ng 250 candlepower 6.6 ampere lamps with No. 124
<br />Globes and No. 1124 Canopy medium alabaster rippled glass
<br />ware complete with all necessary concrete foundations,
<br />anchor bolts pothead~ wiring, conduits, cables and other
<br />necessary equipment, and items, complete with the furnish-
<br />ing of ~11 necessary ~qu~pment, labor and material for
<br />the sum of~. .

<br />On motion of Trustee Goods, seconded by Collier, and car-
<br />
<br />rted, the bids were referred to the City Engineer for
<br />
<br />checking to report back at this meeting. Following the
<br />
<br />report, the Board of Trustees awarded the contract to
<br />
<br />Grif~ith Company as the lowest responsible bidders there-
<br />
<br />for at the price named in their bid.
<br />
<br />Trustee Chapman introduced a resolution awarding the con-
<br />
<br />tract to Griffith Company. The resolution was.ordered
<br />
<br />filed, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 1747
<br />
<br />and passed by the following vote:

<br />Board of Trustees being now in regular session, proceeded
<br />
