In Re <br /> <br />Canvass of Election ~eturns <br /> <br />General Municipal Election. <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees C.H. Chapman, BeG. McPhee, <br /> E.B. Collier, Stanley E. Goode,F.L.Pu~,~¢ <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by HcPhee <br /> <br />and carried, the Board proceeded to canvass the <br /> <br />election returns of the General Municipal Election <br /> <br />of the City of Santa Ana held April llth, 192?,and <br /> <br />after canvassing the same the following Resolution <br /> <br />was passed and adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes ,- <br /> <br />Trustees C.H.Chapman, Ceo McPhee, E.B. <br />Collier, Stanley E. Goode, F.L.Purinton. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Resolved, that it satisfactorily appearing to the <br />Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana that <br /> <br />City Clerk had given due, legal and proper notice <br /> <br />of the general election to be held in said city on <br /> <br />the eleventh day of April, 1927, in all respects <br /> <br />and in all particulars as provided and as required <br /> <br />by law and the ordinances of said City, said Board <br /> <br />hereby finds that said General Election was duly, <br /> <br />properly and legally called and carried on and con. <br /> <br />sidered and in all respects a~d in all particulars <br /> <br />as required by law and the ordinances of said city: <br /> <br />¥~erefore, it is hereby ordered that the same be <br /> <br />established of record. <br /> <br />The Board further finds that the following per- <br /> <br />sons were voted for with the following results, <br /> <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> A. For T~uetee, First Ward. <br /> 1. M. C. Cooper, Independent Candidate received <br /> 548 votes. <br /> 2. Frank Ey, Independent Candidate received 1121 <br /> votes. <br /> 3. J. A. Gardiner Independent Candidate received <br /> 835 votes. <br /> 4. Floyd S. Gordon Independent Candidate recei- <br /> ved 1143 votes. <br /> 5. J. L. McBride Independent Candidate received <br /> 2068 votes. <br /> J. L. McBride having received the highest number <br />of votes is hereby declared the duly elected Trus- <br />tee to represent the First Ward for the term of <br />four years. <br /> <br /> B. For Trustee, Second Ward. <br /> 1. Chas. A. Andres, Independent Candidate re- <br /> ceived 1741 votes. <br /> 2. Stanley E. Goods, Independent Candidate re- <br /> ceived 3555 votes. <br /> 3. Wm. Van Arsdale, ~ndependent Candidate recei- <br /> ved 248 votes. <br /> Stanley E. Goods having received the highest num- <br />ber of votes is hereby declared the duly elected <br />Trustee to represent the Second Ward for the term <br />of four years. <br /> <br />C. For Trustee, Third Ward. <br />1. Chas. F. Carlson, Independent Candidate re- <br /> ceived 90~ votes. <br />2. Edward W. Cochems, Independent Candidate re- <br /> ceived 494 votes. <br />3. W. G. Knox, Independent Candidate received <br /> 305V votes. <br />4. G. G. Latimer, Independent Candidate received <br /> 533 votes. <br /> <br /> <br />
