279 <br /> <br />Santa Arm City Hall. <br /> <br />June 18th, 1928. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />~eeting called to order by President Purinton. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees J.L.McBride, Homer C.Chaney, <br /> Stanley E. Goode, F.L. Purinton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees W.J.Kelly. <br /> <br />Minutes of Meetings of June 4th and llth <br />approved as read. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Protest against <br /> <br />Rock Crusher--Logan St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />~otest against <br /> <br />Radios and Phonographs. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ornamental Lights <br /> <br />on Greenleaf Street. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Mrs. L.M. Tinsley <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrant <br /> <br />Band Concert. <br /> <br />A protest signed by residents and property owners in the <br />vicinity of Logan Street was presented against a rock <br />crusher conducting a business at the end of Logan Street. <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to <br />investigate protest. Trustees Goode, Chaney ani Kelly <br />were appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />A protest was presented by business and professional <br />persc~s against the operation of radio and phonograph <br />loud-speakers in the business section of the City~ re- <br />questing that such nuisance be abated. On motion of <br />Trustee Goode, second6d by Chaney and carried, the pro- <br />test was referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />A petition signed by W. F. Greenleaf, A. Gustlin and <br />C.A. Greenleaf was presented requesting the removal of <br />their names from the petition favoring ornamental lights <br />on Greenleaf Street. On motion of Trustee Goode, secon- <br />ded by McBride and carried, the petition was filed for <br />future reference. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Chaney and <br />ried, the application of the Robertson Electric Corpora- <br />tion was granted under the supervision of the Electrical <br />Inspector to hang an electric sign for Geo. F. Coultrin <br />at 2321 N. Main Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride m~d car- <br />ried, the application of Mrs. L. M. Tinsley to conduct <br />a "Box Lunch" business at 907 W. Highland, was referred <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chaney and car- <br />ried, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant,for <br />Band Concert rendered Flag Day, June 14th, 1928, in <br />smount of $237.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
